To many, Sarah Palins sisters divorce is a private family matter, best left there. To others, it is a potential window into Sarah Palins character and a launching pad for a broader discussion on family policy. Reports of allegations, maybe false, maybe not, set-up a traditional he-said, she-said allowing anyone to take a side. Another more politically loaded question has been raised. Did Sarah Palin abuse her position as Governor to get involved in the dispute? ... cont.

“...Meanwhile, there is evidence that the people interested in keeping Troopergate alive are Sarah Palins political enemies, from those who made initial allegations to those carrying out the investigation in Alaska. Election campaigns have been known to include some dirty tricks. But Troopergate is being conducted using public funds. In the end, this is where the appearance of, if not illegal, then patently unethical conduct may come to rest.”
Interesting direction, if public funds are being used.

There are 2 or 3 AK Dimocrap hacks in a pic on Obammy’s website, who are doing the “investigation” into “troopergate” — well now ... that’s really fair and balanced ...

If that is true, then there is no “there” to the Troopergate story.

The article links to that information from a source that explains it - “Sarah Palins political enemies” in the last paragraph.

I think what the poster meant was that there was no "there", there, and there isn't...

If that is true, then there is no there to the Troopergate story. Its like Gertrude Stien said of Oakland:
"I've been there, there's no there there."

After I initially posted this graphic, I was slightly corrected by an AK native, who told me that the "investigator" shown here is actually supervising the investigation. They appointed yet another Democrat politician -- a former pol as sepcial prosecutor -- to hide their tracks. Rush also had a version of this graphic, showing the Black woman in the photo as also part of the posse sent to round-up the Governor. Unfortunately, I can't link to that graphic. (an't find it any more.)
Here's the revision (please circulate):

Who’s the woman with the baby? Shouldn’t she have aborted that child, so she wouldn’t have to stand there holding it? It’s such a punishment to carry a child around. She probably wanted an abortion, but since she’s in Alaska, Governor Palin must have stopped her at the door to the abortorium. Poor woman.

She wouldn't have had to abort the child if the Governor had allowed her to get contraception -> wouldn't have needed to get contraception if she'd been taught in school where babies come from -> wouldn't have been dating if the Governor's daughter hadn't set a promiscuous example -> Governor's daughter would've been a good girl if her mom had stayed home -> Mom would've stayed home if the Bush tax cuts hadn't destroyed the economy and made her work.
So, it's all Bush's fault, you see.

A little biased, no? You’ve written much better than this.

It’s hard to please everyone during an election year with anything directly related to candidates. There are people cheering on both sides. I calls ‘em likes I sees ‘em.
To: RogerFGay
Does MND officially endorse candidates? I’ve never really seen anything on their site that addresses this and I’m just curious as some sites do it while others try to distance themselves from doing it.

In the past, the editor-in-chief has been pretty supportive of Republican Party candidates; going so far as to include the Logo to the RNC with a link on the front page. But the writers remain independent. An article by a former
ACFC president during a past election cycle endorsing the Libertarian Party for their position on family issues may have carried more weight - but MND hasn't done the polling to know that for certain.
MND describes itself as including commentary from a conservative or libertarain perspective, and you can expect that more than 50% of the time, but has even published stuff from died-in-the-wool Democrats. If anyone ever finds a serious pro-family, pro-father Democrat, he/she would likely get some very positive treatment.
I revealed my own general position going in and am keeping people up-to-date whenever my general sense of things changes - in the interest of honest disclosure. But then I'm generally very intentionally trying to be easily read anyway, even if I don't report who I'm thinking about voting for regularly - why shouldn't a writer try to be that?
