Does anyone think that if the election is very close again the Supremes will step in again and decide it, and probably for McCain/Palin?

Technically speaking, the Supreme Court did not decide the 2000 election. They simply decided a procedural issue regarding how the recount was being performed (the Dems wanted to perform recounts only in Dem districts, and the Florida Supremes were going to let them). However, what decided the election was Bush's greater number of votes. Every recount ever done showed George W. Bush having more votes in Florida.
