Thanks for the explanation. I couldn’t bring myself to watch any of the dem primaries. That look in that pic seems so exaggerated, and very condescending. Just looking at the guy makes me ill.
I disagree. It’s the simple but extremely telling things like this that sway voters. This will come out and when it does Obama will come off like the “win at any cost” candidate he is. There are a lot of Independent voters who are beginning to have serious reservations about Obama, and this will push many to the McCain/Palin side.
You all seem to forget how the Democrats made fun of Bob Dole for his war injuries and how he had to hold a pen all the time. It was Bill Clinton vs. Bob Dole. Maybe this is what came out of that little meeting in Harlem yesterday.
Don’t think for a minute this wasn’t part of their strategy. Been there, done that, by the Democrats.

You are correct, in the real sense of the word it is not a gaffe. But, I think the Obama people have enough sense not to make fun of a war hero’s injuries. What it points out is their desperation and stupidity. They are like dumb kids who act before they think. It’s also an indication of the kind of president Obama would be.

The video cut of John McCain’s rousing ending to his speech to “Stand with him!” brought me to my feet here at home watching a monitor for heaven’s sake. Realizing that he couldn’t raise his arms above his shoulders and you could tell that the spirit was sure willing but the ol’ body just couldn’t, my heart went out to this man knowing what he had endured and the monitor went fuzzy...
I have my moments about JohnnyMac like I do Pres. Bush, but nobody had better insult him (them) in my hearing.
I downloaded that segment and watch it when I feel like flaming Sen. McCain.
