It’s gonna be darn tough giving up the Werther’s, but I’m willing to sacrifice for the team. LOL

{{{Well, I tried to use one of the Target comment forms and it would not accept receipt of my letter. I repeatedly got a red lettered notation that I needed to put a valid email address on the form.

Yeah, except I put a valid email address there. I use the address all the time and haven’t had it called “invalid” until now.

Below is what I wrote to them, but I can’t send it.

Would another FReeper please send my words along to Target under an email address that their contact page would accept?

Please?}}}

To Whom It May Concern:

It has come to my attention that Target is a sponsor of programming on ABC network such as Charles Gibson’s recent interview with Governor Sarah Palin.

I compared his treatment of her in the interview with his earlier interview of Senator Barack Obama. If you haven’t looked into this, I urge you to do so. The two interviews are appallingly different in their tone and tenor and degree of toughness and “take no prisoners” tone.

There is astonishing bias against Sarah Palin - blatant disrespect, condescension, insult after insult - that was wholly absent from the Barack Obama interview, which was more like a love sonnet than a true piece of journalism.

Please know that I expect Target to voice objections to this scandalous behavior to ABC executives and Mr. Gibson himself.

If not, I will be sorely disappointed in Target.

Sincerely,

******* *****

I sent my own scathing message to Target and it went through, FWIW.

Gibson’s intentionally twisted method of interviewing Palin belies the claim that Big Media is impartial...as if we already didn’t know this. No conservative has objections to the media asking candidates tough questions. Obviously the lib press has no fairness standards.
