In Office, Palin Hired Friends and Hit Critics (NY Slimes hit piece)
NY Slimes ^

WASILLA, Alaska — Gov. Sarah Palin lives by the maxim that all politics is local, not to mention personal.

So when there was a vacancy at the top of the State Division of Agriculture, she appointed a high school classmate, Franci Havemeister, to the $95,000-a-year directorship. A former real estate agent, Ms. Havemeister cited her childhood love of cows as one of her qualifications for running the roughly $2 million agency.

Ms. Havemeister was one of at least five schoolmates Ms. Palin hired, often at salaries far exceeding their private sector wages.

When Ms. Palin had to cut the 2007 state budget, she avoided the legion of frustrated legislators and mayors. Instead, she huddled with her budget director and her husband, Todd, an oil field worker who is not a state employee, and vetoed millions of dollars of legislative projects.

Or Obama saying that his wife was one of the three people he would turn to for advice (at the Saddleback forum).

“So she rewards friends and punishes enemies? Every politician has done that since the beginning of time! Earth to New York Times - where’s the scandal? “

One of the greatest failings of the John Adams presidency is he kept on George Washington’s Cabinet. They were his enemies and undermined him whenever they could! This has been one of Bush’s biggest failings too - not cleaning house on the Clinton holdovers.

Sure this wasn’t from a parody website?

Hilarious! 30 Lawyers and more private investigators in Alaska in a week..and THIS is what they come up with?

DRUM ROLL......
Time for the brilliant (not) Woodward and Bernstein team! Oh wait, there is no “Deep Throat” to call them up every night to tell them what to write...they would actually have to do ‘investigative reporting”, but then, isn’t that what they are lauded for?

...hire people she trusts and knows.

Oh my gosh. No one in the executive branch has done that before. She is caught. Oh the humanity!

For the treasonous slimes to print this obvious, full blown hit job Sarah must be doing something right.

It is stunning how the drive-by's have been so quickly reduced to nothing more than the the bumbling stuttering nattering nabobs of negativism that they really are. And all it took was a conservative woman running for VP. Stunning.

They’ve (MSM) become the proverbial “boy who cried wolf”...so no one pays any attention anymore. They piled on so hard and so heavy in her first few days as the nominee that many people are now immuned to the criticism they continue to heap on her...it’s a sort of a ho hum attitude that the public seems to be taking toward criticism of Palin (this, of course, does not include the rabid left...who see a conspiracy behind every tree and who drink the Obama koolaid.)

If Obama had friends he’d hire them. What experience did Barry have in education before Bill Ayers hired him to head up a $160MM education project?

First the NYT says Palin is from a small state and now all of the sudden a $2MM agency is huge!!!!!!!

I can’t wait until Carlos Slim buys up the rest of the NYT and moves them down to Mexico.

The liberals and the MSM are getting desperate. What a one sided hit piece. Look at the editorial in todays NYT, it is really viscous. Folks the other side is running scared and they are liable to do anything.

Wow.

She sounds like the devil incarnate. I would imagine her approval ratings in Alaska must be no more than 10 - 15% tops.

Is this the best they can come up with. Funny, I don't remember the NYT running stories about Obamas politically motivated decisions.

How dare she hire people she trusts and knows.

She should have hired old do-nothing political hacks involved in graft, corruption, kickbacks and bribes, or else domestic terrorists (Ayers), corrupt land deal schemers (Rezko and ilk), and America-hating loonies (Wright). Too bad all her friends are honest, hard-working people - that's BAD for government.

Are you telling me that Obama's mother was 17 and not married when she became pregnant with Bari by a married man?

And that Chicago trash has the gall to send his "Progressive" Commandos after Bristol Palin?

What's wrong with this world? In a good and fair world, he wouldn't be carrying 5% of the vote right now.

The Obamaniacs are some very sick people.
