This is why Obama is in New Hampshire.

Neither NC nor Indiana are battleground states. Zogby is an idiot
To: ricks_place
There is NO WAY Indiana is a tossup state. And there is no way Michigan is NOT one.

Agreed. He also has Obama leading in NC and losing in PA. I think that Zogby has been spiking his own secret sauce.

Every time I see the electoral numbers I cant help wishing we could break up California. It's only the central coastal areas that drive the whole state blue.

Yeah. Pat McCrory, the GOP Governor nominee is beating Bev Perdue in the polls by at least 5%. He would be down if Obama were winning here.

McCain leads NH by 6.3 points and it's a toss-up.
Obama leads in Michigan by 5.7 points and it's a blue state for Obama.
Virginia has McCain up by 6.5 points and it's a toss-up.
Iowa has Obama up by 4 points and it's a blue state for Obama.
Does anyone else here see a pattern?

A 6+ point spread with a 4.5 point margin of error does not sound “to close to call” to me.
I’ve no doubt that I’d rather have McCain’s numbers going into election day than Obama’s.
The electoral race is so close that this is huge. I hope Rasmussen picks up on it.

Zogby’s polls are unpredictable, but not competely unreliable. This is good news.

Neither NC nor Indiana are battleground states. Zogby is an idiot Bush won these states by double digits, and so will McCain.

CA was one of 3 or 4 states that was wanting to proportion their electoral votes. Yes, but we Republican s are only about 40% of the vote, and the RINO Governator said he would not support it.

The Zogby interactive polls are influenced too much by the self-selected nature of the sample; i.e., you “sign up” to be in the sample. Zogby tries to correct this problem by weighting the sample so that, statistically, it looks like the population of the state. Even with this correction, the samples imbed unknown bias if enthusiasm differs between voters favoring one over the other candidate. The improved performance of McCain in the Zogby interactive polls might only reflect increased enthusiasm by those in the population inclined to support McCain, not any shift in voters.

"Does anyone else here see a pattern? " You don't need to see a pattern.
These aren't the statistics you are looking for.
You can go about your business.
