Bungling Joe Biden could wreck Barak Obamas chances of victory in Novembers presidential election, senior Democrats feared last night.
Even the 65-year-old veteran senator conceded last week that Hillary Clinton was better qualified to be Mr Obamas running mate.
It was just one of a series of gaffes that have seen Mr Biden become a liability while his Republican counterpart Sarah Palin has invigorated and transformed John McCains campaign fortunes.
Just a day after musing that Mrs Clinton might have been a better pick than me, Mr Biden left an audience cringing in Columbia, Missouri, when he urged a paraplegic state official to stand up and be recognised.
Chuck, stand up, let the people see you, he shouted to State Senator Chuck Graham before realising, to his horror, that the local politician uses a wheelchair.
Oh, God love ya, added Mr Biden. What am I talking about?

LOL. He’s such a dope...
Too late! The tooth paste is already out of the tube! STEW IN IT YOU RATS!!
When he said Hillary would be a better VP pick is what is sinking him.
Actually that was an honest mistake, sometimes under pressure a person can forget surroundings. That I can forgive.
I cannot overlook the “lipstick on a pig” comment which was absolutely deliberate...and Obama knew it, too.
Biden had also referred to Chuck as his good friend. Ha, he didn’t know him at all.
But if the messiah told him to stand up he could have. he is the magic negro
“Oh, God love ya, added Mr Biden. What am I talking about?”
Conservatives have been wondering that for decades!
Sen. Joseph Biden - Bearing false witness...

Curly Joe Biden is welcome to join in, but Moe-bama doesn’t really need any help. He and his campaign stooges are self-sabotaging nicely.
Obama was in decline even before the Biden pick. It was hoped Biden would cover for Obama’s lack of experience. The actual case is that Biden has not had any positive impact and has brought nothing to the table.
why isn’t this a commercial??
the most important decision a future president can make, even his vice presidencial nominee said he got it wrong.
clip
obama- not ready to lead
not right for america.
We need the “Stand Up, Chuck” Peanuts cartoon, stat!
Can you imagine the reaction if a Republican politician had asked a wheelchair bound person to stand up and take a bow? They would have ridiculed such a person endlessly, and even dug up his/her voting record on handicapped/disability issues if it would make him/her look foolish.
It was an innocent mistake that any politician could make, and having seen the video, I think Biden made a gracious recovery as best he could.
Only interesting thing about it is how demonized he would have been if he had been a republican doing the same thing.
I cannot overlook the lipstick on a pig comment which was absolutely deliberate...and Obama knew it, too.
Sure he did.
He’s walking, talking & sounding more like a thug every day!
Boy wouldn’t that be a tragedy? NOT.
Obama is doing it to himself. Biden is just helping.
OK, here it is.....Prior to the Biden announcement, a loss was certain.
Biden was picked to have a guranteed the scapegoat
When he calls John McCain - whom he has known personally for a quarter century - "George McCain" it seems like a deliberate attempt to link Senator McCain to President George Bush.
When he calls Senator Obama "Barack America" it seems like a deliberate way of equating voting for the senator as a form of patriotism.
When he calls Governor Palin "Lieutenant Governor Sarah Palin" it seems like he is deliberately diminishing her status and qualifications.
Critics point to his absentmindedness by mistakenly telling rallies hes campaigning as president, not vice president. He referred to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as the states lieutenant governor. They need to leave poor Joe Biden alone!
I despise all of the rats, but I think that they are simply saying stupid things because they are off teleprompter and under stress. God knows I say some idiotic things in the course of a day, and I sure try to watch my words. It is not their words so much as they ideas that shock and offend me. Their ideas are so fiendish they are never articulated, lest their party whither away.
Oh, God love ya, added Mr Biden. What am I talking about?
This is easily my most favorite line of the election thus-far.
ROFLMAO!!!!!!
I wonder if Bi-den had been the arresting officer he might have said: “Walk a straight line, Chuck”
I agree it was an honest mistake, understandable in the whirlwind of a campaign. But - what was deadly about it was what he said immediately in the aftermath of it - in trying to extract himself from the blunder. It exposed the "used car salesman" Joe Biden that we all recognize is there, but don't always explicitly acknowledge. And he laid it right out there. And since it was funny that he handled it so badly - it will be repeated over and over and over, and it will drive home the point about him. He is a phony. It was a moment of self revelation, and it wasn't to his benefit.
Just leave ol Joe alone. He is very good at putting his foot in his mouth and he will run on and on while impressing everyone within ear shot of the exuberance of his verbosity!!
I totally agree. Biden made a clumsy mistake; Obama purposefully insulted a good woman.
I agree! With any luck at all, 'ol Joe will get the blame for the 0bama fiasco, and they will delud... No, convince themselves that 0bama should have a second chance! ;)
I’d say those gaffes are sign of old age getting the best of him.
At least Biden didn’t mock the guy for not being able to run.
Biden just made a mistake. Obama deliberately ridiculed a wounded veteran for his disability.
And the media is almost completely ignoring it.

Stand up, Chuck ... dammit!
hmmm he will be “Bidened” just as he “borked” Bork.
badum chhhhhh!

Interesting point. I have puzzled over why Obama picked Biden to begin with since he really doesn’t add very much to the ticket. The only conclusion I could come to was that somehow Biden was forced on, or foisted on, him by the Clintons. The Clintons know full well Biden would be an anchor on Obama, helping to ensure Obama loses. Obama would not be the incumbent in 2012, thus clearing the way for Hillary to run. The one thing the Clintons didn’t plan on was Palin.
Wan’t it a relative of Bidens that had Larry Sinclair arrested before a press conference he had scheduled, to announce some dirt on Obama?
Sinclair was arrested after the press conference. Apparently Biden's son was involved.
bttt

He's got more than Hillary. She'd have reminded Graham that Gandhi would have operated a convenience store. Thanks neverdem.
Whoops! Sorry. Thanks *grey_whiskers*. :’)
I am shock ... I heard it on the radio tonight....
Down syndrome is a genetic disorder .... No stem cell project is going to fix that. Biden is just stupid and nasty.
