I quit donating to PBS and NPR a few years ago. PBS shouldn’t have trouble supporting themselves because of all the marketing and sponsorships (Elmo alone should be pure gold for them). NPR is just vile, as evidenced by two stories I recall:

In the first, they interviewed what I suppose was a “community organizer” who ran a tattoo removal / employment services center for people who couldn’t get a job because of the prominent tattoos and body piercings they chose to have done to themselves.

In the second, they were interviewing people who were having sex change operations in order to become homosexuals of the other gender.

I’m as live-and-let-live as the next guy, but I won’t support that garbage.

I don’t normally support PBS, but since I do teach television productio, I encourage my kids to watch the DooWop and 60’s programming because of the production values. While I don’t agree with them politically, they do spend a good deal of money to put together spectacular shows with groups from the past. But the blatant politicization of this live fund-raiser was over the top.

A typical lefty trying to get his political point across in a forum that is neither political or commentary.
