Zamrano’s batting average is now .354. The Cubs have actually used him as a pinch-hitter in about five games this year.

For real. If there’s one team I despise more than the Yankees it’s the Cubs and that’s saying a lot.

Great performance by Zambrano. Wish it would have been under different circumstances as the Houston players probably had other things on their minds.

It was the first no-hitter by a Cubs pitcher since Milt Pappas did so Sept. 2, 1972, in an 8-0 win over San Diego, and the ninth by a Chicago pitcher since 1900.

If I'm not mistaken, 1972 was Ron Santo's last year with the Cubs.

Good for them. But it took Zambrano too long to step up!

Awesome achievement both for the Cubs and Zambrano. I am hoping this year is the year, or at least we can make the World Series. We just have to close well. I would like to point out that Geovany Soto has done a superb job as the Cubs Catcher this season handling our pitchers.

How can any conservative despise the Cubs? It was Ronald Reagan’s favorite team. They have been in the same stadium since 1914, one of the few remaining in the major leagues which wasn’t built with a dime of taxpayer money.

I personally witnessed THREE no-hitters at Wrigley Field: Holtzman's first ('69), Hooton ('72), and Pappas ('72). This is the first Cubbie no-no in 36 years!

Great to get Big Z back throwing well! And Derrek Lee coming through with a big base hit with men on! Having those two guys at the top of their game in October would be HUGE!

CHICAGO CUBS
PING LIST

GO CUBS GO!

Hey, I grew up in the city of Chicago, and I turned out all right!

Barry Obama and Oprah Windbag and Jesse Jack@$$ are not true Chicagoans. They all came from other places. Same with Al Capone.

I think Sweet Lou could run for Mayor of the Midwest and he'd win!
