Monegan admitted that Palin never asked him to fire the Wooten, and also admitted that Wooten was “not a model trooper.”

Governer Palin’s father, Chuck Heath, had contacted state police with several allegations against Wooten: using a Taser on his 10-year-old stepson (which Wooten admits); shooting a moose without a permit; and drinking beer while driving a patrol car.

Many other members of the governor’s staff complain to the Safety Commissioner about the trooper.

Wooten was disciplined in 2006 for making a death threat to Chuck Heath, though he denied the allegation, naturally. It was no doubt just bravura, just loud-mouthed talk. You know, macho stuff. Men do it all the time. It’s an ego trip.

“using a Taser on his 10-year-old stepson (which Wooten admits)”

How can anyone not see that this is child abuse? People of authority have a resposibility to report something like this, it is required by law. Funny these libs get all up in arms about tasers being used to subdue adult criminals but don’t have a problem with the same being done to a child?! I’m sure I’ve seen recent hit pieces critcizing taser use and how dangerous it is to perps but I don’t remember the source, does anyone else remember seeing this?
