“The Logan Act makes it a felony ..”

Yes, but all he has to do is deny he said it and it turns into a stalemate. This could have legs politically, but I can’t imagine it will get to the point of legal action.

I doubt this even has legs politically. Like you said, all he has to do is deny it, and it will be ignored by the msm. Or the msm will call the Iraqi`s liars who are making it up to hurt Obama.

If it is recognized as a legal problem then it will be truly a scandal and the Repubnlicans will go into full coverup mode. The Republicans have historically been more assiduous in covering up Democrat scandals than the Democrats have.

It doesnt need to... We havent sent Pelosi, Carter, Jess jackson, and SCong McDermott to jail for their Logan Act violations. It seems the arrogant libs feel a right to ignore the constitutional view that the chief executive is the President, and want to play the role ad hoc.

What Obama did was no worse but also not better than Jimmy Carter singing Kumbaya with Hamas. ... it was bad enough to say that this guy REALLY should be barred from the Presidency.

I don't believe that would be enough if the officials he spoke with tell us that it is true.

I guess we now know why the dems and the media were so upset with US surveillance of Iraqi leaders.
