As the news continues to focus on the Democratic primary after a big win for Hillary Clinton in Kentucky and a large victory in Oregon for Barack Obama, the announcement that Jim Johnson has been tapped by Obama to help choose a running mate for the Illinois senator is making waves.

Who is Jim Johnson?

Johnson served as Fannie Mae CEO from 1991 to 1998 and has a long history in both Washington politics and business. He served on the boards of numerous companies, including The Goldman Sachs Group, KB Home, and Target Corporation, and has been Vice Chairman of Perseus LLC. He also was a corporate finance managing director for Lehman Brothers. He was an executive assistant for Vice President Walter Mondale (1977-1981) and a U.S. Senate staff member. Johnson also helped screen running mates for Democratic presidential nominees Walter Mondale in 1984 and John Kerry in 2004.

Just what Obama needs, a Fannie Mae cast-off helping his campaign. This should be a piece of cake to exploit if Biden leaves the ticket and Johnson plays a role in selecting the co-loser.

This guy is just like Obama. Lots of fancy titles and positions. Looks like most everything he touched turned to crap. That includes Obama's running mate.

What I’d like to know is how he’ll explain away THIS:

From 1989-2008, Chris Dodd (D-CT) was the top recipient of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. #2 was none other than The One, The Annointed, The Obamessiah himself (and all received during a grand total of 3 years in the Senate – roughly $120K, or $40K/year). Far, **FAR** down the list, at about 1/6 of The One’s total, was John McCain – a Senator for all 19 years counted in this study (roughly $20K over 19 years = a bit over $1K/year). Six times the “contributions” (read: bribes) in 1/6 of the time – that’s a whopping 36 times the annual rate of bribes. Not bad for a community organizer, eh?

I SERIOUSLY want Rush, Hannity, Ingraham, O’Reilly and others to grab hold of this like a pitbull (the kind withOUT lipstick) and to tear up Obambi like there’s no tomorrow.

Obama picks someone who has failed more than twice.

Should be a headline.

Rush said... Lehman Bros has very very close ties to Chuckie Schummer. Did they think we wouldn’t find this stuff out? Where is Charlie Gibson to ask the questions that America wants to know the answers......

Chickens are starting to come home to roost! I love it.

“This should be a piece of cake to exploit if Biden leaves the ticket and Johnson plays a role in selecting the co-loser.”

I think you’re assuming about 17,239 neurons distinctly NOT in evidence. Johnson (place name in mental register for purpose of comparison) /Fannie Mae mismanagement / Dem buddy-buddy gig resulting from previous bribes paid / pick for current campaign management.

I mean, that’s minimally 3 neural connections past holding the initial memory stuff while other thinking is going on, the chances of that connection end-to-end of that neural chain being made are near zero. IMO the absolute top end is two.

Did Franklin Raines of the Clinton administration succeed Jim Johnson as CEO of Fannie Mae. Is not Mr. Raines also on Zero’s advisory team?
How about Jamie Gorelick of the “wall” fame. Wasn’t she on the Fannie Mae board for about 700 grand a year?

I want to see the McCain ad with this info to counteract the lobbyist ad from 0bama.

Hired a financial genius, didn’t he????

With 300,000,000 people in America to pick from, Washington DC and Hollywood keep “reinvesting” in the same pack of know-nothing, do-nothing losers who brought us to the brink.

And this pinhead wants my vote!!!
