Not unless it is dragged out till just before the election. We shouldn't give him a chance to change himself with another candidate, take him down after he gets his due loss.

What are the rules if a candidate backs out? Would the VP pick become the Presidential candidate as if they were already POTUS? Or would the DNC put forth another candidate?
