Thanks for the links, interesting guest list for impression on the US visitors seems to be kept very non political even to Elaine Chao not with her husband but her father.

Another interesting one I noticed that Liz accompanied the VP not Lynne seeing as Lynne was on FNC last night promoting her new book I suspect that she probably is not in Washington DC at present.

Another interesting name on the guest list in the respect of her actual name cannot imagine a parent naming someone this.

As I suspected yes I do have a couple of questions on the menu.

Late summer corn pudding, I presume possibly incorrectly is this a cold milk pudding made with eiher corn what we would call maize in Britain similar to a ground rice, semolina or tapioca pudding which in Britain can be served hot or cold.

Also “Roasted Red, Gold and White Baby Beets” is that beetroot if so I have never seen anything other than the deep red/purple colour. Or is it some other sort of beet?

As wordsmith says we are going to miss President Bush it may take a while but I am certain many Americans will within months be saying President Bush would have handled that differently or showed more compassionate understanding etc. Many people in fact I believe will be shocked by their own feelings and words.
