I don’t think McCain wants the election to be about abortion...the Hillary turned Palin supporters might suddenly figure out that McPalin equals a path to repeal of Roe v. Wade. McCain knows Obama won’t bring it up because of BAIP. I’ve read Hillary boards - they are worried about Roe, but are ignoring their fear due to Obama hate...they will start to pay more attention if abortion becomes a big issue. This commercial may not be helpful to McCain.

That’s possible, although the point is that even Hillary voted for a federal bill that was identical to the one Obama opposed. I think it’s very unlikely that McC can overturn Roe or other landmark pro-abortion decisions, but the pro-abortion crowd doesn’t know that.
But you do have a point. If abortion is the only thing the public hears from right wing publicity, McC could lose some swing voters. The mechanics of how people vote is like trying to predict the weather.
