Isn't Gardasil the same drug that Gov. Perry of Texas attempted to mandate in Texas?

It sure sounds like the manufacturer of that drug has managed to buy sufficient politicians to mandate the use of their drug.

As I understand it, Gardasil can (may) reduce the risk of cervical cancer for women, but it should be administered prior to the female having sex.

Unlike chicken pox (which is mentioned in the article)which is contagious and can be widely spread, cervical cancer is a unique risk, generally to females who have multiple partners.

The mandate for Gardisil is for corporate interest.

Bingo. You hit it right on the head. The drug company can’t convince people (women) to use this drug (which promotes promiscuity, let’s face it) especially since it’s long term side effects aren’t known, so they get the taxpayer (through US government mandate) to pay for it. Clever. No, rather deceitful, immoral and wrong. Reminds of the birth control product tests back in the 50’s that the US government allowed on unsuspecting women in Puerto Rico. The Margaret Sanger crowd is still going strong.

The development of the vacine must be rewarded by laws which make it compulsory! Government sociology (force it to fund it) is often even worse than socialism (fund it). Where is the "freedom of choice"? It only applies to the slaughter of babies.
