He used to call himself an "Arnold Republican." He's the creation of the infiltrators in the leadership of the CA GOP who have vowed to turn it into the "Purple Party." Meg Whitman is another one who loved to donate to Democrats before her venture into politics, supporting McCain.
Potential GOP candidates who support the existing GOP platform, or conservatives, need not apply. The Party leadership will actually work against them.
