Just so everyone knows: He ran (and lost) for a CA Assembly seat in 2004. He refused to be in any way associated with the GOP. He never visited the GOP Victory HQ in Los Gatos (basically his town), and he didn’t even want his materials in the office, to be given out to Republicans. At events, he refused to say if he would vote for Kerry or Bush. He sent out mailers to Independent and Democrat voters attacking Republicans. I could go on, but you get the idea.
