Obama leads McCain in new NH poll
PolitickerNH ^ | September 10, 2008

The first New Hampshire poll since the two national political conventions shows Barack Obama leading John McCain outside of the margin of error.

The CNN/Time Magazine poll gave Obama a 51 percent to 45 percent lead. The poll had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent. This poll may be evidence that the Granite State is bucking the national trend this week of higher numbers for McCain since Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's speech a week ago.

Since Obama clinched the Democratic nomination in June both presidential candidates have been locked in a tie within the margin of error.

After being basically ignored by presidential candidate lately, the Granite State this week sees visits from Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden, Obama and McCain.

My guess as to the sample’s composition:

60% Dem
25% GOP
15% Independent

New Hampshire is an important state. If McCain wins it, it’ll make it that much harder for The One to win the White House.

Whenever there’s gloomy economic news, there’s a surge for obama.

My guess as to the sample’s composition:

And, the report / poll is 8 days old. At this stage of the game, people look for new polls every day or two to try to figure out where things are headed.

From what I’m hearing on FOX tonight, it seems Andrea Mitchell has lured the “uneducated women” she was telling us about back over to Obammie.

I think single women have swung back toward Obama a bit, but married women will stick with McCain-Palin.

I'm surprised the marriage gap hasn't gotten more attention.

The poll was done during the Republican Convention.
Too long ago to matter.

From CNN just before the NH primary: With Tuesday's New Hampshire primary fast approaching, Sen. Barack Obama has opened a double-digit lead over Sen. Hillary Clinton in the state, a CNN-WMUR poll found Sunday.

Clinton won NH by 3.

McCain seems to be tanking in all the new polls. He is down in every single new poll out the last couple days. All the crap going on on Wall Street and in the banks has caused a massive surge to Obama. People are just not smart enough to see through Barry.

I hate to say it, but everything in this election from the economy to the media favor “The Messiah”. He shouldn’t have a chance in hell to win, but the media will not cover Bill Ayeres, Jeremiah Wright, Tony Reszco or Obama’s many Muslim ties. Instead the have succeeded in making Sarah Palin the scandal ridden candidate. I’ve already resigned myself to an Obama/Biden admistration and I am saving up as much money as I can. I’m also preparing for retreat in the war on terror as well. Sigh.

McCain has the ammo he needs to do some real damage, but for some reason he has pulled way back in the past couple of weeks... Its not just the economy. McCain can be nailing Obama and the Democrats in general, and isn’t.

No idea why though...

That was to be expected as the MSM tries to make Obama look stronger then he is.

Obama is getting weaker every day.
