“Does this really exist? He is one very sick man.”

I heard it on Hannity or Rush. Can’t remember which one.

Pro infantacide Obama is getting very desperate

Obama's problem with this issue is his own extremism. He voted against the state versions of legislation that was so moderate, so basic common-sense that even Barbara Boxer could see its rationale when she voted for the federal version of it. Obama is trying to re-frame the debate as not being about medical attention for abortion survivors but as a debate about pro-life vs. "pro-choice". He has to change the subject because his position is so repellent, so overtly and coldly infanticidal that he loses even a lot of the left on this issue.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

Appreciate your kudos. It bears repeating.
While legal abortions result in the death of the mother about nearly 5% of cases, abortion results in the death of an infant in nearly 100% of cases.
We have murdered an entire generation of Americans, nearly 50 million, since the inception of Roe v Wade. The death of the mother whether through legal or illegal abortion, however, has not gone down.
So called legal abortion is statistically no safer than illegal (extra medical) abortion. Legal abortion has created a culture of death in which unwanted babies are slaughtered by the tens of millions.

Giana Jessen responds:

“Mr. Obama is clearly blinded by political ambition given his attack on me this week. All I asked of him was to do the right thing: support medical care and protection for babies who survive abortion – as I did 31 years ago. He voted against such protection and care four times even though the U.S. Senate voted 98-0 in favor of a bill identical to the one Obama opposed. In the words of his own false and misleading ad, his position is downright vile. Mr. Obama said at the recent Saddleback Forum that the question of when babies should get human rights was above his pay grade. Such vacillation and cowardice would have left me to die if his policies were in place when I was born. Thank God they were not.”

While legal abortions result in the death of the mother about nearly 5% of cases, ...

I would like to know where you got those statistics so I could use them in my post. I did a lot of searching and enlisted a number of our most Pro-Life FReepers in order to get numbers on that and none of us could find them. Our conclusion was that records are not kept, much less published, on death of the mother due to abortion. Of course a certain percentage of women die in child birth even without abortion so the statistic would have to exclude those numbers.

The death of the mother whether through legal or illegal abortion, however, has not gone down. So called legal abortion is statistically no safer than illegal (extra medical) abortion.

Unless the chart in my post is incorrect that is obviously not true. Source please.

Please review the Md research on deaths related to pregnancy at:
http://www.fha.state.md.us/mch/pdf/maternalRep.pdf
The authors note (a) that death by older, uneducated black woman is double the average of white women, and (b) that 23% of deaths resulted from undelivered pregnancies. The report furthur states that unreported death is at least double the gathered figures. By running these numbers it is fair to assume that for every 1,000 so called undelivered babies there are at least 100 deaths among the poorest of the poor and blackest of the black.
c0 ii reports that no numbers were available for death by abortion, making extrapolation necessary.
Md reports that their stats are slightly higher than national figures, owing, probably, to the higher incidence of black women receiving abortions. This is consistent with Planned Parenthood’s extraordinary efforts among the black population of inner cities and especially Baltimore. Their commitment to their founder’s (Margaret Sanger) goal of eradicating the black population is born out statistically.
Hope this helps
Amos

That doesn't help me at all. I am interested in facts not assumptions based on figures collected in one state on all maternal deaths where abortion wasn't even addressed. There are too many good reasons to oppose abortion and too many sources of good information to need to cobble together a string of speculations, faulty extrapolations and half-assed assumptions to bolster an argument against it.

Thanks anyway.
