New Jersey Senate: Lautenberg Hangs on to Lead
Rasmussen Reports ^ | September 19, 2008

Democratic Senator Frank Lautenberg leads Republican challenger Dick Zimmer by seven percentage points in New Jersey’s U.S. Senate race. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the Garden State finds Lautenberg on top 49% to 42%.

That’s closer than the race was last month, but Lauternberg continues to hover right around the 50% level of support. Incumbents who poll below 50% are generally considered potentially vulnerable, and the New Jersey senator is the only Democrat in that category at the moment.

It’s hard to believe that you could come up with a more corrupt tifecta than Corzine as governor, Lautenberg and the other joker that they have as US senator.

Shame on my home state. Too bad Kean could not have been in this race.

>>This race now looks to be the GOP’s best chance of unseating a Democrat Senator.

You must be joking. Lautenberg could be dead (as if anyone can tell the difference) and he would STILL get elected. People in NJ get raped, year after year, complain a lot, THEN REELECT THE SAME PEOPLE WHO ARE RAPING THEM.

When told of Paleo Conservative’s catty comment, Senator Lautenberg was heard to say “Grr! Fire bad!”

Lautenberg is still alive? I thought they were just propping up his corpse in his Senate seat till the next election.

That Landreiu has got to go down!!! 2 cycles without a Senate pickup would be ghastly.

As discussed before of course there are no open seats and we can’t beat incumbents though we usually get 1 of them.

06 None

Dashole 04

Cleland 02

Carnahan 02 (appointed)

Robb 00

Mosley-Braun 98

96/none

Wofford/Sasser 94

Fowler/Sanford (NC) 92

90/none

John Melcher (MT) 88

(King RINO Lowell Weicker beaten by Lieberman who ran to his right 88)

86/none

Walter Huddleston (KY) 84

Howard Cannon (NV) 82

80 NINE beaten, last time there were more than 2 beaten in a year. Since then only 12, one of them appointed and one of them, Wofford, having won only a special election.

The rats have beaten 12 in 00-06! And 31 in same timeframe the GOP beat 12.

Pathetic.

Every time a rat senator goes down an angel get’s it’s wings.
