Re: US financial situation.
I find it fastinating that the financial whiz-bangs here on FR are all over the sphere on what to do, what shold have been done, etc. How can so called experts be so ‘all over the board from pole to pole on this matter?
I admit I am not an expert and have no clue what should be done. So, I will ignore the ‘experts’ and wait and see.

Just my opinion...when the financial arm of the MSM are "all over
the board from pole to pole"...it's no real suprise that people
weighing in at FR also display a wide variety of what should be
done with the current ecomomic mess. And predicting what the
outcome will be.
Heck, even Sec. Paulson said that he wasn't worried about a lot
about the current troubled titans of finance even a few months ago.
But even he got the shock of his life when the fuller extent of
the problems became clear to him.
When he had this ephiphany, IIRC, he said "I feel like the dog
that 'caught' the bus."
In other words, overwhelmed by the massive dimensions of the debacle.
