America's Founders' Financial Advice (Chuck Norris Advocates Return To Limited Government Alert)

1. Keep spending within constitutional limits. The Tenth Amendment restricts the size of government, and that should always bear out in the federal budget and spending. That means understanding income and export taxes were unconstitutional to our founders, which if applied today would be two of the greatest economic stimulus packages.

2. Return to a pay-as-you-go government. If we don't have the money, we don't spend it. Period. No more debt. No more bailouts. No more spending. As Thomas Jefferson once wrote to Fulwar Skipwith in 1787, "[T]he maxim of buying nothing but what we had money in our pockets to pay for …[is] a maxim, which, of all others, lays the broadest foundation for happiness." (Some are quick to point out that Thomas Jefferson financed the Louisiana Purchase with government loans, but they overlook the fact that Jefferson's administration lowered the federal deficit by nearly one-third in his eight years in office.)

The recent financial crisis has left Americans shaken and worried about the future of our country. Chuck Norris says the best financial reassurance is to return to the principle of limited government. Take the 10th Amendment seriously. Government should not spend more than it has on hand. The only tax imposed should be indirect taxes allowed before the 16th Amendment. And we need to stop thinking we can have everything we want. The price of greed shows that big government poses a real danger not just to our freedoms but to our national prosperity. Its time to get back to what we know works. The blueprint for our recovery can be found in the Constitution and the wisdom of the Founders - when we apply them.

I think he did. But conservatives couldn't coalesce behind an acceptable conservative candidate so we're stuck with a Big Government Republican who has no objection to this monster bailout. Missing from this campaign is talk of constitutional government. What is clear is we cannot count on the Republican and Democratic Parties to save us. We must take our country back.

Huckabee talked about spending lots of money on everything, including ethanol subsidies.

The romney people (who associated themselves with the pro-business, fiscal conservative camp) didn’t like him so much but romney was also talking about spending lots of money on everything, including ethanol subsidies.

The problem with the Republican Party is that its talking of spending and borrowing. It should be doing the reverse. Cutting spending, ending reckless borrowing and fighting for a federal balanced budget. If it continues to pursue a me-too policy of borrowing and spending like the Democrats do and like there is no tomorrow, it deserves to die.

Limited government? What a joke. Heck, this nation thinks that murdering the unborn, the partial born, the infirm and now the elderly is a RIGHT including “separation of church and state”. How are you going to back track on any of this and get back to what the Constitution says?

Answer: You’re not.

Has the GOP proposed a balanced budget law? I haven't seen it. Ditto to spending cuts. Ditto to an end to massive borrowing. Ditto to eliminating the income tax. The party of conservatism has ceased to stand for any kind of fiscal prudence or limited government. We're told in the wake of this financial crisis, the only solution available is to make the federal government the dictator of our economic life. We're not told we need to get government out of the business of micromanaging every aspect of our national life and return it to its core constitutional responsibilities.

Dang diggy diggy! Just when I was about to declare society has ditched the concept of personal responsibility Chuck bolsters us with his positive attitude. His martial arts enable him to laugh at all the jokes yet carry on with a purpose.

Thank God, he just went to the bathroom so I only have a short time to relate that he rendered me unconscious with a nerve hold. I woke up in a fabulous shrine to Chuck Norris while the man himself was explaining his recent actions to a desperately-clutched action figure of himself. OH! It's an Ah-nold action figure and he's really hacked no one made one of him. Oh crap he heard me recording thats one big kni

"I just wish he said this with Huckabee during the primaries..."

Is that because Huckabee wouldn't say it?

Eeegzackly!

Only one other person has come out publicly in favor of a Constitutionally-limited government, responsible fiscal policy, sound money, enforce the laws already on the books, etc., etc, etc.

Any we all know what happened to him, don't we?

Crazy old coot...we ought to lock him up.
