Here's a sad monument to the sleaziness of this U.S. presidential campaign: Almost one-third of voters "know" that Barack Obama is a Muslim or believe that he could be.
In short, the political campaign to transform Obama into a Muslim is succeeding. The real loser as that happens isn't just Obama, but America's entire political process.
A Pew Research Center survey released a few days ago found that only half of Americans correctly know that Obama is a Christian. Meanwhile, 13 percent of registered voters say that he is a Muslim, compared with 12 percent in June and 10 percent in March.
More ominously, a rising share - now 16 percent - say they aren't sure about his religion because they've heard "different things" about it.
When I've traveled around the country, particularly to my childhood home in rural Oregon, I've been struck by the number of people who ask something like: That Obama - is he really a Christian? Isn't he a Muslim or something? Didn't he take his oath of office on the Koran?
In conservative Christian circles and on Christian radio stations, there are even widespread theories that Obama just may be the Antichrist. Seriously.
John Green, of the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, says that about 10 percent of Americans believe America may be in the Book of Revelation's "end times" and are on the lookout for the Antichrist.
A constant barrage of e-mail and broadcasts suggest that Obama just may be it.
The online Red State Shop sells T-shirts, mugs and stickers exploiting the idea. Some shirts and stickers portray a large "O" with horns, above a caption: "The Anti-Christ."

For the record, Rev Wright's church is NOT a Christian church.

Like Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II didn't have the same exact thing said about them.
The only difference is that Nick was willing to entertain those possibilities until they named Obama to the position.

“Otherize” is something a leftwing politically correct fascist made up in academia, and anyone who uses it is deserving of the highest level of ridicule.

I know the facts and the allegations.
I know Obama has a Freudian slip about “his muslim faith”
I know he attended a “church” that was virulently anti-semetic for 20 years and had radical members of the Nation of Islam (who deny Christ was crucified) as speakers and honored guests.
I know Obama was at least muslim-on-paper as a child in Indonesia.
I know Obama said in his autobiography that he considered the muslim call to prayer one of the “prettiest sounds in the world.”
I know various muslim benefactors paid for his college and law school.
I know Obama identifies sin as “acttions against HIS moral beliefs” (talk about “above your pay scale”) -— which is just odd.
And I know Obama claims to be a Christian.
In short, until someone asks him specific questions about the crucification and resurrection, it’s hard to say.
Nobody “knows” what Obama is and shouldn’t purport to the public that they do.
However, it’s clear his membership in Rev. Wright’s church eliminates Christianity.
Judging from the way he lives his life, I would say Barry is a secular buppie, NOT a Muslim or a Christian.
Maybe he’s the real “Mr. Z.”

I don't know what it is - other than it apparently exists to blaspheme Christ and His Word.
I didn't know such a place existed - other than knowing that you can find unsavory 'fringe' institutions of any flavor if you lift up enough rocks - but upon uncovering Mr. Obama's place of 'worship', the shocking part has been how its treated as a semi-normal church.
It is not.
It is an abomination. From the video clips of the 'pastor Wright's greatest hits' (along with the video of his congregants who seemed to universally laugh along with, and celebrate, his blasphemies), to their 'About Us' page (which they have since 'sanitized'), where their 'About Us' story had half a dozen references to racism, celebration of skin color, worship of foreign continents, and zero references to our Saviour Jesus Christ -- this place Mr. Obama attended for 20 years was more akin to a house of Baal - than to a place for Christian worship.

Otherize is what Obama inflicted on himself. Part of his journey. He is open about it in his book.
Walks like a duck. He's DISCUSSED HIS MUSLIM SCHOOLING IN HIS OWN BOOKS AND INTERVIEWS.
Is he one today? No. But I still haven't heard when and where he was baptised as a Christian.
Like someone else already pointed out, Barack is considered a Moslem because his father is a Moslem, in the same manner that I’m considered a Jew because my mother was a Jew.
And as that person pointed out, many Moslems around the world also consider Barack to be Moslem. The leader of Libya said Barack was Moslem.
And there is that school record in Indonesia.

The Stalinists on the Left said that Reagan was the evil Big Brother mentioned in George Orwell's 1984. Ironic since 1984 and Animal Farm were written to warn of Stalinists in the US and UK.

There are widespread websites and youtube postings mocking his Messiah-ship and funning about the antichrist, satan, devil, uberjerk since 2007. Seriously.
The white liberal paper news media is so out of touch.
I sorta thought Kristof’s name alone did it but “otherize” helped ;)
