It's insanity to contribute to our own demise, but that's exactly what we're doing, and almost no one will talk about it.

The markets are rocked, financial institutions are toppled and the government pledges billions of dollars for a bailout.

They'd better have plenty of green ink on hand for government printing presses churning out greenbacks to cover those guarantees, even though that money will be worth less and less.

Governments on all levels, from local to state and in-between, face tough financial times, with many threatened by bankruptcy. Tax revenues decline, but spending keeps rising.

Strange how politicians never have any trouble spending other people's money – namely, your money – in their efforts to get re-elected.

As citizens watch their homes lose value, mortgages foreclose, savings and retirement devastated and jobs disappearing, their own governments are protecting people who are in flagrant violation of multiple laws and cost communities multi-millions of dollars.

It's inconceivable that during an economic crisis, sane people would support politicians who allow and condone flagrant lawlessness. But they do, and it's all because of political correctness, diversity and multiculturalism – to say nothing of liberal politics.

Add to the mix religious leaders who support the lawbreaking in the name of God – and you have a recipe for disaster.

Like it or not, that's where we are, and I'm talking about illegal immigration.

This country has been invaded – yes, invaded – by millions of illegals from nations across the world, although most come from Mexico, our immediate southern neighbor.

The result is an unbelievable financial, social and cultural burden on every segment of U.S. society – education, medicine, the social structure, housing, jobs, law enforcement, the courts, the prison system and more.

With McShamnesty on the ballot, we can look forward to rewards not only for the Wall Street fat cats who looted America blind but for illegals who taking advantage of America's generosity to steal the dreams of Americans. Obama is even worse. Choose your poison!

WE need to stop this bailout!

When you give homes away for free it brings the value of all houses down.

Why isn’t Bush telling the American people who caused this mess and why where is the DOJ?

I saw Stuwart Varney on FOX this morning and he gave the impression that the executives protected their own money but played fast and loose with everybody else’s money. (See Enron) Now they’ll walk away with billions leaving others ruined.

My congressman is calling for them to be stripped of their golden parachutes.

Why isn’t Bush telling the American people who caused this mess and why where is the DOJ?

But by 2004, when HUD next revised the goals, Freddie and Fannie's purchases of subprime-backed securities had risen tenfold. Foreclosure rates also were rising.

That year, President Bush's HUD ratcheted up the main affordable-housing goal over the next four years, from 50 percent to 56 percent. John C. Weicher, then an assistant HUD secretary, said the institutions lagged behind even the private market and "must do more."

From here.

Bush increased the percentage of sub prime lending required from Fannie and Freddie "each (Clinton and Bush) trying to lay claim to a record percentage of homeowners" here)

There is no question that the problems were created by HUD. Oh, by the way the HUD Secretaries under Bush? Mel Martinez and Alphonso Jackson. Both Bush cronies.

I posted this on another thread, but it works here too.

“Bush is a Sellout, POS dirtbag.

Barney Frank is one of the reasons this is happening.

The Socialists, BUSH included have just nationalized 3 businesses.

The United States of Socialist America, (USSA)”
