NYT editor responds to McCain camp

I agree entirely with them...this is their responsibility...and one they are abject failures at. The NYT has betrayed America through it's dereliction of it's duty.

ROFL. MM, surely you do not believe a lot of this stuff you spew. The NY Times "endorsed" McCain in the way that enemies pass on a poison pill..... they wanted to give the Republicans a candidate that would weaken or split the base of the party, a candidate who could not pull together a winning coalition, etc. Surely you do not seriously believe that the editorial board of the NY Times EVER wanted McCain to be POTUS????? Not in 2000 and not in 2008 - they were simply engaged in a tactical maneuver to try to divide and weaken their opposition.

It almost worked, too, except that they did not count upon the genius of the Palin selection.... yippee!!

It has been fun to watch the dishonest Demagogues in such panic over Palin, or it would have been fun except that the depths of depravity being plumbed by the left in the brutal assaults against Governor Palin and her family go beyond even the norms for the charlatans of the left.

I have to admit that as much as I have learned to loath and despise vicious leftists over the years, even I was not prepared for the sheer despicable dementia of the assaults on innocent, non-political children.

The polls are still close but I am sure hoping/expecting that your side is going down hard, at least in the Presidential election and maybe more widely, once enough REAL Amercians focus upon the contemptible nature of the political left and the FACT that Obama is merely a sock-puppet for the most despicable forces in American life.

Yes, I'm back and I just received the word on what the Republicans in the Bush administration demand from us Americans. Here it is: "Dear American:
"I need to ask you to support an urgent secret business relationship with a transfer of funds of great magnitude.
"I am Ministry of the Treasury of the Republic of America. My country has had crisis that has caused the need for large transfer of funds of 800 billion dollars US. If you would assist me in this transfer, it would be most profitable to you.
"I am working with Mr. Phil Gramm, lobbyist for UBS, who will be my replacement as Ministry of the Treasury in January. As a Senator, you may know him as the leader of the American banking deregulation movement in the 1990s. This transactin is 100% safe.
"This is a matter of great urgency. We need a blank check. We need the funds as quickly as possible. We cannot directly transfer these funds in the names of our close friends because we are constantly under surveillance. My family lawyer advised me that I should look for a reliable and trustworthy person who will act as a next of kin so the funds can be transferred.
"Please reply with all of your bank account, IRA, and college fund account numbers and those of your children and grandchildren to wallstreetbailout@treasury.gov so that we may transfer your commission for this transaction. After I receive that information, I will respond with detailed information about safeguards that will be used to protect the funds.
