Some great rope line video from Joe Biden's recent Ohio swing, where he was asked by an anti-pollution campaigner about clean coal -- a controversial approach in Democratic circles for which Obama has voiced support, particularly during the Kentucky primary.
Biden's apparent answer: He supports clean coal for China, but not for the United States.
"No coal plants here in America," he said. "Build them, if they're going to build them, over there. Make them clean."
"Were not supporting clean coal," he said of himself and Obama who do, on paper, support clean coal.

First Biden made the gaffe on AIG bailout and Osama said "Joe should have waited before making that comment" now this. Almost like it is on purpose.
Ping!
Take Virginia out of the “toss-up” column.
Stand up Chuck!
Geez, how is he hoping to win coal country votes with comments like this? The Democrat party line has been that they support clean coal technology. So Biden wants nothing to do with coal at all????
Biden is a good democrat, America can make nothing and all of its wealth must be distributed to the world because America is evil.
Biden is truly a sad man, terrible senator and what is wrong with American government. I have been watching him since Nixon was President - it is time for him to go.
Now, tie this into WHY Americans are paying $4 a allon for gas, and the reason we have a “mortgage Crisis” in the first place.
The Bill is due for 40 years of rampant liberalism...
Do that, ESPECIALLY at Friday’s debate, and this election is OVER...
ya I was thinking that Virginia is one of their target states. And SW Virginia is coal country. This could be enough to tip the balance of the whole state to McCain.
Ohio has been hammered by the closing of coal mines. I can’t believe this idiot would say this.
PinG!
These quotes need to be in many commercials, starting IMMEDIATELY - especially in VA and PA.
If there is ANYONE here with any line to Team McCain - get this quote to them ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This would effectively end Barack/Joe in VA, and possible cripple him in PA.
No joke, I hope this is on video.
Play it in select VA counties, WVA, etc.
STAND UP FOR CHUCK!
Watta Marroon...
how can we lose to this guy
The enviro-weenies are infecting Florida. Starting with Crist, our RINO governor.
I just got notice from my electric utility, Tampa Electric.
From my calculations on the massive increases, my August 2009 bill will be 43% higher than my August 2008 bill.
They also expect everyone to reduce consumption and use less than 1000 kWh every month. That’s impossible in the summer months in Florida, so we get surcharged about 300% more on usage over 1000 kWh.
Even while in CT my monthly consumption ran over 2000 kWh.
And Florida burns coal for now, where will we be if Biden was to get his way.
Joe obviously has an early stage of dementia which is an unfortunate health problem and therefore must be replaced on the ticket with Hillary. I figure about October 5.
/sarcasm
Our politicians cut off our productivity and productive capacity and we stop being producers and became merely consumers of financial products.
I’m glad Joe Biden is out and about and telling the American People what they have in mind for us.
That’s right, there is, or was, a lot of coal mining in southeastern Ohio. Some people think of Ohio as being Cleveland surrounded by midwest farm country, but stereo types only go so far. These comments could hurt the Obama/Biden ticket in Ohio. Maybe it would be enough to tip the balance of the state. Stay tuned.
This statement will wipe Barry and Hair-plugs out in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.
I recommend it be given maximum exposure.
