She wasn’t going to speak at the UN. She was to speak at an Iranian protest rally sponsored by a coalition of Jewish groups. She was disinvited following Hillary’s withdrawal and threats by lawyers for the Rats that any sponsoring group would have its IRS non-profit status investigated if Palin appeared. Pure thuggery.

Makes perfect sense. The so called reporters getting their panties in a twist....priceless.

Which will p*ss them off even more and cause even more rants. Won't hurt her a bit.

The press was told photogs and a camera crew could go in, but no so-called journalists who pretend to be reporters.

Long overdue.
Ironic that a "small town incompetent girl, from a 'small state', with no experience" is the one that has the b**** to do it.
Dubya came close, rearranging the White House Press corps.

Our system demands open meetings, but it does not require us to indulge delusional "correspondents", aka domestic terrorists.

Way to go, Sarah!

It’s a meeting, not a press conference, fgs.

And they turn everything into a circus, so based on past behavior they should not be let in.

Too bad. Not a good decision.

Not at all. This is a diplomatic press opportunity. No need to have the press pepper her with irrelevant questions. I expect she will be let loose shortly after the VP debate. Frankly, its McCain I worry about shooting from the hip.

“Too bad. Not a good decision.”

It’s a great decision. When she does something like this she marginalizes the mediabots, looks decisive, gains respect in the eyes of the world leaders AND the US voters, and shows she will do the right thing no matter who thinks what, which is what people are looking for this year.

The media seriously believes they have “the right” to interrupt her meetings with their junk questions. “Forget” them. (Forget used as substitution for another word)

The next development I hope to see...

No freaking monologues!

What is it about "question" that they don't understand?

I hope Sarah introduces the "Palin Doctrine"; Numnutz can figure out what it is, but I'll tell the rest of you:

When a loser begins running off at the mouth in lieu of a question, The Vice president moves on with a casual, Next question, please? Yes, you in the back with the suit, haircut and tie..."

To quote Robert Gates at the 2007 USNA graduation:

...the Founding Fathers wisely understood that the Congress, a free press and a nonpolitical military are needed in a free country.

“The press is not the enemy and to treat it as such is self-defeating,” he said.

"Isn’t it normal for there to be a photo op and then the parties meet in private? What’s the big deal?"

The bid deal is that the MSM will not be allowed to shout questions whose singular purpose is to provoke a defensive response from the world leaders Governor Palin is meeting with. An example might be, "President Karzai how does it feel to meet with a Vice-Presidential candidate with so little experience on the world stage?". Or, "President Uribe are you concerned that this redneck from Alaska won't understand anything you are talking about?"

The pissy babies from the MSM can kiss my azz.

EXACTLY!

No monologues...”Governor Palin, it has been said that you are naive and completely unqualified to be Vice President and that you banned books in Wassila, now tell us how you feel about the color blue?”

I’m glad they are taking this approach, the press corpse has gotten out of hand and they should not be pandered to.
