Poet and author Dr. Maya Angelou, a strong supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton during the Democratic primary campaign, is now speaking out for Barack Obama.

Last Thursday, she introduced Michelle Obama at a Women for Obama rally in Greensboro, North Carolina.

"Look where we've all come from," said Angelou. "Something wonderful is happening."

Angelou described herself as a "serious" and "sincere" supporter of Clinton and said she meant for her "to go all the way." Angelou praised Clinton as an intelligent, hard-worker campaigner who had left "18 million scratches" on the glass ceiling.

"Who is to bring us light? Who? You really have to think of Senator Barack Obama," Angelou said.

Who is the Mahdi? Barack!

Another fluff-brained doyen of the elite swoons for the magic negro.

What a surprise.

These will be among the first people lined up in front of a trench by the enemies to whom Obama would sell us out.

It’s happened every time throughout history when these morons successfully pursuaded their societies that they should just play nice with the enemies of freedom.

I may take heat for this, but I don’t see this woman as much more than a worthless bucket of bolts. The left just loves her. They trot her out whenever they can for the ‘voice of reason’ effect. And when they do, I come down with a massive case of the yawns, and a few mental ooos and ahhhs thrown in to boot. Gag me...

I actually find it encouraging that this leftist windbag likes Obama. If she liked McCain, I’d be rechecking my compass.

Here's a little sampling of her 'poetry':

Momma Welfare Roll

Her arms semaphore fat triangles,
Pudgy HANDS bunched on layered hips
Where bones idle under years of fatback
And lima beans.

Her jowls shiver in accusation
Of crimes cliched by Repetition.
Her children, strangers
To childhood's TOYS, play
Best the games of darkened doorways, Rooftop tag, and know the slick feel of Other people's property.

Too fat to whore,
Too mad to work,
Searches her dreams for the
Lucky sign and walks bare-handed
Into a den of bereaucrats for her portion.

'They don't give me welfare.
I take it.'

She’s no Tyrone Green:

IMAGES by Tyrone Green

Dark and lonely on a summer night
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord
The watchdog barkin’, do he bite?
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord
I slip in the window
I break his neck
Then his house I start to wreck.
Got no reason, what the heck.
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
“C”-”I”-”L”-”L” my landlord.

Wasn't she America's Poet Laureate or some such thing? I just remember Imus poking fun at her years ago.

Poet and author Dr. Maya Angelou

Example of her work:

There once was a man named Obama
Michelle is his favorite momma
If you have no brain
Then vote for Hussein
and complete the countries transition to a socialist state.

Maya Angelou Endorses Pennzoil

Maya Angelou.....David Alan Grier

Announcer: And now, Maya Angelou... for Pennzoil motor oil.

[The poet stands in front of Pennzoil logo, holding the product.]

Maya Angelou:
The Pharaoh, the serpentine Nile,
Grecian grottoes marked by eons passing,
Pennzoil.
The choice of champions.
Rick Mears, four-time Indy winner
O! Magic shining ewer of liquid ball bearings
Battling armies of viscosity and thermal breakdown.
Pennzoil! Change oil!
Every five thousand miles.
Keep out of reach of children.
Pennzoil is a registered trademark!
Freedom.

Announcer: This has been Maya Angelou for Pennzoil motor oil.

This is a very sensitive subject...

Just the two of us
yeahhhhhh ahum ahum

From the moment I heard Maya
Say we have a clone
I knew that I’d be safe
Cuz I’d never be alone
An evil candidate shouldn’t speak about her feelings
My hurt and my pain don’t make me too appealing

I’d hope Barack
Would look up to me,
Run the buisness of the family
Head an evil empire,
Just like our dear old Bill
Give him our love and the things he never will

Barack would think
I was a cool guy
returned the love I have
make me wanna cry
Be evil, but had my feelings too
Changed my life with Oprah and Maya Angelou

But B.O. rejected me
C’est La Ve
Life is cruel, treat you unfairly
Even so, a God there must be
Maya, you complete me.

Just the two of us
We can make it if we try...
