Freddie Mac paid 15K a month to McCain aide's firm (Yahoo! bias leads MSM)

The lobbying firm of John McCain's campaign manager was paid $15,000 a month for several years until last month by one of two housing companies taken over by the federal government, a person familiar with the financial arrangement said Tuesday night.

That money from Freddie Mac to the firm of Rick Davis was on top of more than $30,000 a month that went directly to Davis for five years starting in 2000.

The $30,000 a month came from both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, the other housing entity now under government control because of the crisis in the financial markets.

Not so much interested in the story. It's the same old tripe.

But is anyone else bothered by what Yahoo! and Google choose to "feature"? Everytime I open Yahoo! to check my e-mail, I get irritated.

They invariably have at least 4 AP stories spouting the DU talking points. And they avoid anything favorable to conservatives even if it's the biggest story of the day.

With so many people using Yahoo! and Google as their home pages, their blatant liberal bias could be doing more to dumb down America than the entire print media combined.

it’s like when Biden attacks Palin over the Bridge to nowhere, which she ended but he voted for.

Very thin but the media will run with this and bury the Obama stuff, no doubt about it.

Apparently Davis’ firm worked for this money.

What were Dodd and Obama expected to do in return for theirs?

The MSM is playing this up very big to create a false moral equivalence to Obama's shenanigans.

From the way they talk, you would think McCain was involved.

I can just see the idiots at Yahoo! digging through the news stories:

Franklin Raines collects $50M?

Big deal!

Jamie Gorelick takes home $26 million?

not important

Fannie Mae CEO Jim Johnson leads Obama’s VP search committee?

Who cares.

McCain knows a guy who had a cousin that ate lunch at a cafe owned by a Freddie Mac investor that defaulted on his student loan?

What an outrage! This is a feature for sure!

The article is petty at best. MCain says david left the firm in 2006. The frim without Davis continued to recieve
money until recently so what and notice the person who spoke did not want to be identified. I would like to know when and how much was the last donation Obama recieved from Fannie and Freddie anyone know?

I just assumed that was the idea. These are the same "journalists" who amplify Obama's charges of "guilt by association" every time someone mentions, Rezko, Wright or Ayers. Here, they go for a "two-fer", since not only is there no indication of a McCain connection, but even the "aide's" firm hasn't been implicated in any illegality.

At the gym this morning, MSNBC did a story on the "McCain Connections to FannieMae". Missing, of course, was any mention of Jim Johnson or Franklin Raines.
