The Man Who Never Was
RealClearPolitics ^ | 9/24/08 | Tony Blankley

The mainstream media have gone over the line and are now straight-out propagandists for the Obama campaign.

While they have been liberal and blinkered in their worldview for decades, in 2007-08, for the first time, the major media consciously are covering for one candidate for president and consciously are knifing the other. This is no longer journalism; it is simply propaganda. (The American left-wing version of the Völkischer Beobachter cannot be far behind.)

And as a result, we are less than seven weeks away from possibly electing a president who has not been thoroughly or even halfway honestly presented to the country by our watchdogs -- the press. The image of Obama that the press has presented to the public is not a fair approximation of the real man. They consciously have ignored whole years of his life and have shown a lack of curiosity about such gaps, which bespeaks a lack of journalistic instinct.

This is the kind of editing one would expect from Goebbels' disciples, not Cronkite's.

The author evidently is not old enough to remember the real Walter Cronkite. There was no noticible difference between Cronkite and Goebels.

The difference is now with YouTube, internet we can virally throw the MSM off. I doubt, seriously, the MSM will accomplish what they are trying so hard to do...get their Liberal in the most high office in the world...but the fact that they are so blatantly ignoring major gaps and major problems with Obama is disgusting beyond words. I truly feel America is on this and that is why today they are trying even harder.....I would like to think there are enough decent humans to counter whatever they try....and I believe McCain/Palin will be elected.

I’m telling people this isn’t a time for fun. This is time for all out political War. The left has more than probed the bottom of their pit of lies. They attack McCain on obscure relationships with Freddie Mac while giving a pass to the Democrat congress who voted on party line in 2005 to block reforms proposed by McCain and the GOP congress which would have by all estimations prevented the current crises. It is time to hit him on everything. He is the most liberal candidate to run for office since McGovern. The ads attacking him raising taxes have been good but we need harder stuff.

———That conspiracy not only has Photoshopped out all of Obama’s imperfections (and dirtied up his opponent McCain’s image) but also has put most of his questionable history down the memory hole.-——————

Nice piece by Blankley. I’ve wondered for months now if there is any recourse? My days of watching hours of the news programming is over(including FOX). No more reading the rhinos in print or the borderline talk hosts(who have Matthews, etc. on as guests). There is room for a counter opinion, but not the propaganda as Blankley points out.

I am amazed at the number of suicidejihadireporters there are. These are guys who walk into a large crowd and blow up themselves and there reputation and credibility (don't laugh) to perpetuate self-apparent lies. It is as though the educated unbiased observers and reporters on the world's events were witnessing the death of a religion and they just cannot abide a world that does not support their faith.

The Kool Aide served in the college dorms these days must be really funky stuff.

If the media do end up getting Obama elected, the warts are going to show up and show up fast. (This is why I have some hope in the debates). Questions will start to be asked how this happened and blame will needs to be assigned where it belongs; with the US Media.

One press conference in a major crisis (say a nuclear device being detonated in Israel) is going to show how unprepared this man really is for office. Yes, we & the world will have to suffer these consequences, but one cannot hide their inability to lead.

It will be open and on full display no matter how much the media tries to cover him.

I am guilty for not making prayer a priority in my life and then every four years, I suddenly rediscover prayer because I love this country so much. I know God has a plan and we must accept it & this is in God’s hands, but I encourage all of us to pray for our nation.

This campaign of Barach Hussein Obama, Jr., the charismatic, messianic Magic, um, Mulatto, for the Presidency of the United States was seemingly based on the series, The Omen, The Omen II, The Omen III, “The Final Conflict”, and The Omen IV, “The Awakening”. Damien is pictured as the “Antichrist”, and is defeated, at least temporarily, in the third part of the series, by the Second Coming of Christ. The evil is reborn, and brought back, in the last novel of the series, in the form of a female child, an adopted infant who grows into her potential.

Hey, I don’t try to assign any roles here, but you can see how the thinking can suffer some contortions if people take these things as a prophecy of sorts.

Can we bring a class action suit against the media?

My friend was a translator in Iraq. She says the Iraqis, and indeed the entire Middle East thinks we are amazingly naive to run a Hussein for president. Terrorists would take his election as carte blanche to attack us without fear of reprisal.

An Arab herself, she said she cannot even look at Obama without seeing 666. Pure evil.

There was one difference.

Goebbels did legitimately earn a doctorate. Cronkite didn’t even go to college, AFAIK.
