Had the cross-cutting between Obama and Biden been a little quicker to emphasize the absurdity of the contradiction, this one might have reached the sarcastic heights of the celebrity ads. No matter. Conservatives will relish it anyway for rubbing Bidens face in a warm pile. And by pile, I dont mean a pile of coal.

Could’ve use the Biden comments more effectively. Overall an ineffective ad and unclear. If anything it would confused people who didn’t see the original clip.

I am sure people in eastern Ohio and western PA have heard the original comments.

Yep SE OHio here and we heard it loud and clear. Even local TV station played the Biden clip on the 11pm news last night. With 3 working mines that I know of in their viewing area I’m sure the word is getting out.

I think it makes the point, you can’t believe a word out of those two.

I think that Biden is either trying to get out this campaign.. I think he realized that he made a mistake in joining this campaign..

I forget the details, but I believe Obama did something similar with NAFTA. He was campaigning and saying he opposed NAFTA, while his deputy was up in Canada having meetings and telling people "Don't worry. He doesn't mean it. He has to say stuff like that to get votes."
He can't be trusted. At all.

I thought it was a good ad. The music was perfect.

This is likely a stupid question from a non-engineer who likes to read. Don’t we already have clean coal technology?

Count the number of "acid rain" stories you've seen in the news in the last 5 years.
Yes, we have very clean coal technology.
And we have lots of coal. Emphasizing coal and nuclear power would completely change our energy situation. And that's why the Left opposes both.

OH, PA and WV have heard Biden’s comments plenty clear, don’t worry about that.
