Al Gore took a page from Mahatma Gandhi and the Rev. Martin Luther King by calling Wednesday for "civil disobedience" to combat the construction of coal power plants without the ability to store carbon, Reuters reported.

The former vice president, whose efforts to raise awareness of global warming have made him the most prominent voice on that issue, made the comment during a session at the fourth annual Clinton Global Initiative in Manhattan.

The carbon dioxide storage is useless and stupid. I’m sure there will be willing government contractors lining up to put huge reservoirs of stuff into the ground when those same reservoirs could be much better used to store natural gas. I worked for Consolidated Natural Gas Transmission and I know a little about the subject.

Why they insist on calling it Carbon when it is mostly O2 is beyond me. Maybe it is because carbon denotes “black” and that they are saying somehow “black” is bad. It is almost a racist tactic. Who would’ve thought liberals race baiting CO2? We are breathing in and out the stuff all the time and it doesn’t look like Carbon at all. If America wants to get fleeced then by all means start storing carbon. What is likely to happen with such a horrible idea is that instead of fixing the problem it would produce a new one.

The carbon dioxide would be prevented from reabsorbing into the environment and God forbid we have a natural disaster and the stuff be released accidentally in mass. Where as the normal production of carbon dioxide is something the environment can deal with would we really want the release of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere all at once during an accident? These self proclaimed “smart” people are dangerously naive.

That’s stupid, Al. No power plant ever tried to get me to obey it. We have mutual respect.

So, have they been giving you problems? I don’t blame them.

The fool is still pissed that the Americans turned him down for the Presidents Office. He’s trying to punish the United States and his followers don’t even realize they are being sucked in and making him millions.

I really believe Al Gore cracked up after the 2000 election. But he was never really
all there even before the election. The guy needs some psychiatric help. Really.

“combat the construction of coal power plants without the ability to store carbon ....”

Are there any coal power plants that don’t already have huge stockpiles of carbon? Does Gore know the difference between “carbon” and “carbon dioxide”? Seriously.

Al Gore is referring to carbon sequestration. Where the CO2 from coal buring is pumped into the ground. An idiotic pipedream but Obama also refers to this when he says he favors "clean coal"

AL GORE - something out there which threatens our very existence and may be the end to the human race as we know it. i'm talking of course, about... "manbearpig." it is a creature which roams the earth alone. it is half man, half bear, and half pig! some people say that manbearpig isn't real. well, i'm here to tell you now, manbearpig is very real, and he most certainly exists! i'm cereal... manbearpig doesn't care who you are or what you've done. manbearpig simply wants to get you! i'm super cereal...

Interfering with power plants is a felony. Good luck, Albore, hope to see you in jail.
