Threatening legal action will not be enough to stop a national gossip magazine from featuring its exclusive on Sarah Palinís alleged extramarital affair.

According to The NATIONAL ENQUIRER, three members of the manís family, including one by sworn affidavit, have claimed that Palin engaged in an affair with husband Toddís former business partner, Brad Hanson.

Well, well. The MSM managed to ignore the Edwards story that had hard evidence from the enquirer. But they are rushing this one out without a lick of evidence.

Next up for the Sin Jose Mercury News: Larry Sinclair's signed affadavit saying he and Obama played sucky in the back of the limo, right?

Apparently the Enquirer couldn't handle the modicum of credibility it attained with the Edwards story so it had to pull this stupid stunt to get back to being called a fish wrapper.

Two questions: Being married to Todd, why would she even think of having an affair? When would she have time?

“He said ... she said”.

The time of the alleged affair is in the past. Many years in the past.

They ain’t gonna be able to catch her red-handed, like they did the breck girl.

Unless the guy that filed the “sworn affidavit” has photos of them checking into a hotel together alone or in bed together, he’s toast.

What was San Jose Merc. News’ take on covering the John Edwards’ affair BEFORE he held his press conference where he admitted he’d done the deed but denied it was his baby?

The story is that Todd had the affair. I told you people this was coming yet no one listened.

This is part of the attempted “Foleyazation” of the race. next you are going be hearing rumors of abortion and homosexuality, this is straight from the Saul Alinsky smear book.

This is aimed at the evangelicals and social conservatives.

Sorry, I read the article wrong.

The rumor I read was that they had film of Palin and “her lover” in Cancun or Acapulco. Given that she is criticized for never having a passport of left the US.

The Enquirer revealed the name of the alleged lover:

Larry Sinclair.

Let me guess, it was in the back of the limo on the way to the Days Inn in Kenosha, WI.

Never mind the fact that the National Enquirer is up front that it will pay for stories; that the publisher is pals with the Clintons; that a “sworn affidavit” outside of a court is still hearsay so matter how many times you swear.

Garbage in, garbage out. But it is HI-larious that the MSM is taking the National Enq. stories as if they were AP stories. Then again AP stories are often of the quality of the Nat. Enq.., so I guess I see there rational. Ha ha.

“This is aimed at the evangelicals and social conservatives.”

Yes, the Moby Dicks (named after the musican, related to Herman Melville, who named himself “Moby”, who suggest just such a tactic back in 2004 *) don't actually care about these things, they are just designed to supress the vote.

If the election eve release of Bush's DUI charge cost him 0.52% of the vote, then it cost him the popular vote.

Elections can be won or lost on such matters.

One side has principles they will hold to (even if the news item is a “fake but accurate” lie) and one side has no principle except to win at all costs including ballot stuffing and litigation.

* Punk the prez? - Moby’s anti-Bush tricks - New York Daily News
2/09/04 Rush & Molloy
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1074278/posts

One of Sen. John Kerry's celebrity supporters is ready to pull out all the stops to get him elected. Republicans are shrieking over a suggestion by rocker Moby that Democrats spread gossip about President Bush on the Internet. “No one’s talking about how to keep the other side home on Election Day,” Moby tells us. “It's a lot easier than you think and it doesn't cost that much. This election can be won by 200,000 votes.”

Moby suggests that it's possible to seed doubt among Bush's far-right supporters on the Web.

“You target his natural constituencies,” says the Grammy-nominated techno-wizard. “For example, you can go on all the pro-life chat rooms and say you're an outraged right-wing voter and that you know that George Bush drove an ex-girlfriend to an abortion clinic and paid for her to get an abortion.

“Then you go to an anti-immigration Web site chat room and ask, ‘What's all this about George Bush proposing amnesty for illegal aliens?’”

Moby didn't claim that he believed the abortion story...

“Burdett is a former brother-in-law of Hanson’s estranged wife Carolyn’s brother, Craig Batton, and still speaks with many family members.”

Well after the scandal of believing that 2 hunters had “bagged” a bigfoot (a real sasquatch, not a halloween costume in an old fridge with opossum entrails thrown on it), the rags went back to their CONFIDENTIAL roots.

Agree when did she ever have time?

She even took the kids to work.
Sometimes daily.

So it could not have been in the Gov office or Mayor. Unlike Bill Clinton in the Oval office.

And being a fishermans wife like many here the wives and kids all meet the F/V and help off load/grocery shop to send the F/V back to sea.

Oh heck this doesnt even call for a post to stick up for Sarah.

I must say if she was able to squeeze in an affair with her schedule I’m impressed!

He says, she says, blah, blah, blah....where’s the beef???

If we eliminate everyone who ever had an affair there would be about 5 people left in congress and the white house.

Great! I've been looking for a reason to cancel my subscription to the San Jose Mercury for a long time. This should do it. I only have been subscribing because I have always subscribed to a newspaper. I have been tired of the bias in the Mercury for a long time but we don't have any other decent newspapers in Bay Area. I'm thorough with the SJ Mercury and I'm going to make a point of telling them why I've canceled. I urge all subscribers of the Mercury to cancel and tell them why.

Coincidentally, Hanson has reportedly filed a motion to have his divorce records sealed in Alaska.

Wait, it's this guy again? The one the left said was sealing his records to hide something but was really doing it, as reported by The Smoking Gun, to hide himself from the piranhas in the media? How old is this story now? They're still on this? How pathetic, National Enquirer.
