Yada yada yada.
Almost caught up. How big a moat you reckon a man needs?
Our old dog, Peter was once paralyzed in his two hind legs. He used to go into the garage to sleep and one night there was a bad storm. When he didn’t turn up the next day, my son found him. The vet offered to send him to Vanderbilt for about a $10k course of treatment. When I asked about an economical alternative, he offered a weekend of IV steroids.
That worked and old Pete has been fine. Until, just recently, he’s having some continence issues. (He’s exclusively inside now.) Seems like no matter how many times he’s walked, when he gotta go, he goes.
I hate to confine him to one area. The last pleasure he has is rambling around through the house.
Up until about last month, Bo thought he was 17.
Well, I’m runnin 2 miles per day, throwin iron every other day, and I’m old too, so maybe I should be smart enough to learn something from this... naw, probably not.
I sure love my dog. Sad seein him decline. Just damn.
Finally a high score! 356!
Got 359 a couple of weeks ago and Afronaut blew me out of the water.
TB, I’m sure the flowers helped since I’ve just about killed all of them around here. Someone is not very happy with my yardwork. LOL
And Glock, we have nothing to lose except our sanity when we have to route against our favorite driver so our team does better. ;)
We had one that got shot in the head and pretty much paralyzed from the neck down. Vet offered to put her down, but we (I) said no. He told us contrary to the Westerns, they don’t dig the bullet out, it does more damage, just take her home and try to make her comfortable. We carried her in and out everyday, set her in the sun and rolled her over so she would toast on both sides. Eventually she regained her ability to walk and lived another 10 years.
There are pills you can get from the vet for incontinence and they worked quite well. He said it was standard in older dogs that had been fixed.
Thanks Tex. I’m definitely looking into that.
Wish I could remember what it was called, but it’s been too many years.
Ole Bo’s havin a rough time walking. I’ll take him to the vet this week... but I gotta say, he’s 13, which is good for a lab... but the spark is going. I’ll do whatever I can for him. I guess I ain’t no spring chicken myself :o)
I wish you the best. It’s been two years since I buried my last one and I still haven’t decided on another.
Guess who has the highest prices on the map and it’s not Texas. Around $4.20 on the street and $4.05 at Costco. Are prices going up or down in the next few weeks?
I saw $3.39 regular on I-40 east of Knoxville yesterday. And farther east, in Asheville, it’s reported that there is NO regular gas to be had.
Also heard that folks were driving across the nountain to Unicoi County, Tenn. from NC to gas up.
Wild.
I think prices will fall, crude is down this morning.
That doesn’t change the supply side issue with the refineries just starting to come back online. I think Valero in CC should be back up now. They had a fire before the storm that took out a unit producing 80,000 barrels of gasoline a day.
I doubt we will ever see $2.00 gas until we all have electric cars.
Never understood those that make chili so hot you cannot taste it. Makes as much sense as putting so much nitrous into the engine, you blow the pistons out the oilpan.
So that is what happened to my Vega. And I thought it was the drain oil I was putting it it...
LOL
I literaly blew one in half one night and it still ran! Albeit not very good, but it got me to a phone. ;)
A NEW DIRECTION!
