The deal that will make this investigation go away is the November 4 deal. Get past the election and no one will care since no one will have to face the electorate for another two years. So Congress launches an “investigation” to make it appear it is doing something about corruption. Rangel will toss his consitutuents some bones about his ability to bring home the bacon and he will be reelected without a hitch. And, miraculously, nothing will happen before the election, nor after.

Interesting that an investigation will commence 2 days before they go on their 2 month paid vacation.
