Amazon.com has found a way to capitalize on one of the most interesting presidential elections in U.S. history.
The Seattle-based retailer introduced an interactive map of the U.S. showing which states are "red" or "blue" based on their online book purchases.
Although it's not meant to predict the next president, it suggests that the right's slant on the Obama-McCain matchup is more widely read than the left's.
For now, 36 states are pink or red. Six are blue. And eight, including Washington and Oregon, are purple, meaning residents are virtually split in their political book purchases between Republican and Democratic viewpoints.

Liberal radio don't sell for squat, too.
So we've got a pattern here: Word-based media such as books and radio don't work too well for libs, but image-based media such as tv and hollywood are what libs consume the most. It's safe to conclude that libs are mainly attracted to shiny moving objects.
Liberals don’t buy books, they steal them. That’s harder to do when the store is online.
If you click the timeframe, the country is bluer earlier this year. For the past 60 days even CA has lost its blue and is now 50/50. Not sure what it means but it’s interesting.
Amazon's red-blue map is about selling: The election is big news, and Amazon wants a piece of the action. This red-blue map is Amazon's way of getting in on it.

Overtly liberal DVD’s and videos don’t sell for squat either. I had some very rare pacifist documentaries (chronicling the history of American pacifism from World War I and II) which retail for $250 each. They were a hard sell for $5 during the height of the anti-war movement.

I hope it doesn’t violate policy to post a link (I thought everyone would like to know what all the hullaballoo is over) :-D\.
