If we get the “tea-bag” revolution going, and enough people get involved, and join in, only being asked to send three tea-bags a day to their two senators and one congress-person, who knows where this could lead?

I personally would hope for a peaceful second reprise of the Boston Tea Party, but that depends on whether the idiots we elect get the message!

Mail a picture of a tea bag instead. Better yet, mail an artist's rendition of the Boston Tea Party.

You beat me to it.

We ought to send pictures of the Boston Tea Party, with our messages written on the reverse.

I can see something like this going nuclear.

Great idea!

We can all print these out, put our “pithy comments” on the reverse, and tie them to our tea-bags.

Any ideas for pithy comments? Post them here for those of us that might need some creative ideas!

Thank you, my FRiend. I’ve got the pic now, and will email it and the Taxpayer Revolt Mail Campaign idea around to everyone I know.

Windflier, thank you so much for doing this to help.

It doesn’t take much to get everyone to do a little bit, and everyone’s little bit can add up to a lot of pressure on our “elected” to remind them who does pay the bills.

They have this silly idea that they give us “stuff”. They need to know that is is us who pay the bills, not them distributing largesse to us peons.

Where did they get the notion that they are the “lairds”, and we just the “supplicant peasants”, unable to hunt for dinner on their lands, without their permission, or their hounds (IRS) in hot pursuit of our efforts to feed our families?

I listen to Dave Ramsey and he said they did this in Tennessee about 10 years ago when the governor tried to push through an income tax.

He said he still meets people that were in office at the time that tell him they cannot stand the smell of tea to this day! He said it was everywhere - all their legislature and the governor were sent tea bags by the thousands!

I think it’s a great idea and I plan to do just that tomorrow.

Here is one site that everyone might try to use to spread the idea. You can put in your own city or zipcode (I think), and try to get like-minded people to join in sending the tea bags and comments....

Once you get to this screen, go to the very top and put in your own location, then see if you can build up some momentum. Don’t know it it will work, but it is worth a try.

And I am such a conservative that I didn’t get it!

Still don’t, and not sure I really want to, for I am sure it would spoil things for me, if you get my drift!

Let's just say, if you "get it", you also couldn't possibly, not ever, not in a gazillion bajillion years, not in infinity cubed, ever, ever, ever, get the visual out of your head.

Disgusting doesn't begin to cover it, nor are there adequate adjectives in the English language to convey the horror...

Send something a little bit more potent. A receipt showing how you just took all your money out of the stock market and banks and put it into Treasury securities.....its called a flight to quality.

Time has arrived

Take YOUR money from THE BANKS
before
THE BANKS take your money from you.
25 FORD GMC ..wasn’t enough, need more
30 BEAR .....wasn’t enough, need more
85 AIG .....wasn’t enough, need more
200 FANNIES...wasn’t enough, need more
770 WHO?...... Nobody is asking:Will that be enough....bacause it won’t be. It is Treason.

No one will punish wallstreet unless we Americans do it. They need to be made responsible for their actions.

The democrats should be held accountable also. When the GOP took over Congress the DOW shot up. In 2006 the demonrats took over and look what we get.

Im all for a Run on the banks before the banks run over US.

Exactly. If I burn the house down, I and mine can get out. IF SOMEONE ELSE BURNS IT DOWN, I and mine might be burned alive.

Of course in this case they want me to pay them for burning me alive.

Take your money from THE BANKS AND STOCKS
before
THE BANKS take your money from you.

We can buy Treasury securities, We’ll call it a “flight to quality.”

I’m proud of my Mom for the idea and the support it’s getting, but along with others the first thing I thought of was the anthrax alarms it would set off...but maybe that’s a good thing; so as to get even more mileage and attention and media coverage...!

One unfortunately key difference between those days and today is that back in the Boston Tea Party days, peasants and commoners and huntsmen and so forth were mostly as equally armed—with many muskets and knives, pitchforks and clubs, etc.—as King George’s redcoats, even with the redcoats having cannon.

Today, our only hope would be full rebellion by so many units of state national guard (with their tanks, armor, helicopters and planes, artillery, limited missiles, ammo and amchine guns, etc.) that there’d be something resembling a match in terms of technology and firepower. Satellites and other advanced cyber-grid systems, sophisticated pan-continental command/communications, bombers, refuelers, and so forth, all operated & commanded by the Pentagon (unless the revolt takes hold there as well) almost obviate a citizen uprising today against such an overdeveloped federal military, if push came to shove...

But then, the movie “Red Dawn” comes to mind...
