Well, I don’t know if this is historically analogous, given that we technically have “representation.” How about we hit them with calm reason?

You are right, of course. “Technically” we do have representation.

But, do we truly have it, in fact? We, the taxpayers?

It seems that all our representatives worry a whole lot more about transferring our hard-earned income to “those less fortunate”, and that includes Wall Street, AIG, Fannie and Freddie execs, and whatever corporations have the best lobbyists with the saddest stories of economic woes.

And how long have we tried “calm reason” already?

You cannot reason with people who already believe with great conviction they can trample on the American taxpayer for whatever reason under the sun.
