The NRA is currently attacking Barack Obama with TV ads that are so deceptive they are not fit for broadcast.

The ads purposefully misrepresent Barack's position on illegal guns to scare and mislead voters -- the non-partisan Factcheck.org concluded that claims in the ads are simply "false."

TV stations airing them have the legal authority to prevent the broadcast of false and misleading advertising, and they will respond if their viewers apply enough pressure.

You're receiving this message because these ads are running on TV stations in your community.

Send an email to TV advertising representatives in your local media market and demand they take down the NRA's false attack ads.

Barack Obama has consistently maintained that he believes the Constitution creates an individual right to bear arms, and he greatly respects the rights of hunters and sportsmen.

But that hasn't stopped the NRA from attacking, and there are too many worried voters who might be swayed by watching these lies.

Here is my submission created by subtly rewording their form letter:

“Dear Sir or Madam,

Will you please continue to air the accurate and important ad currently running against Barack Obama in our area?

This ad from the NRA finally exposes Barack’s position on constitutionally protected and legal guns, because the fact is Barack has repeatedly undermined and denied the individual right to bear arms created by the Second Amendment. This ad is designed to inform and enlighten voters, and it is more than fit to be broadcast.

There is lots of room on American television for these kinds of FACTS that far surpass the most basic standards of political discourse. I hope you will exercise your legal authority to prevent the attack by the Obama campaign against this constitutionally protected broadcast advertising.

Please know that I am sending more money to the NRA right now, so that they can continue to pay for these ads.

You are performing a great service to Americans everywhere by protecting freedom of speech and the citizen’s right to bear arms.

His record regarding the restrictions and outright banning of guns is a matter of record, true and accurate.

Stay strong, stay true to your principles and reject the Obama campaign’s attempts to extort and blackmail your station into silence.
