For what it is worth, $2.82 billion (in a non-election year, I might add) divided by 535 congress-critters equals more than $500,000 in legalized bribes per politician.

The man doesn't have a clue. This crisis had absolutely nothing to do with lobbyists. It is a result the Community Reinvestment Act, championed by the Democrats, that forced banks to make loans to unqualified people. His intention in going after lobbyists is to make McCain look bad because Rick Davis once lobbied for Freddie Mac.

All the while, he is ignoring the elephant in his own room...he has Jim Johnson on board his campaign WHO RAKED IN MILLIONS AS A CEO at Freddie Mac. Then there is Franklin Raines, another Freddie Mac CEO. Not to mention that Obama himself is second in receiving the most donations from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Quite a feat considering his short time in office.
