The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Barack Obama attracting 50% of the vote while John McCain earns 45%. This is Obama’s biggest lead since his convention bounce peaked with a six-point advantage. In fact, on only two days since clinching the Democratic nomination in early June has Obama enjoyed a lead bigger than he has today.

Ouch is right! But Rasmusssen polls at Dems 39% and Reps 33%. The 2004 presidential election had a turnout of Dems 37% and Reps 37%.

Ah, so NOW Gallup has it even, battleground has McCain ahead and Ras has Obama surging. I give up, there is like NO correlation between these polls at all now.

As more people make up their minds, they are breaking for Obama.

Thanks to the endless media barrage against McCain/Palin, and especially against Palin.

The people are, apparently, more easily duped this election cycle than last.

Let us not forget what God said to Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:17.

Obama would have had to get an absolutely HUGE day yesterday. Of course, early on the news was all reporting the Obama talking point that John McCain is trying to bring down the financial system.

I find this highly dubious. There is another angle no one is talking about. McCain is running an anti-media campaign. Conservatives are more irate at the media establishment now than they have ever been. Hang-up rates for conservative Republicans on these polls simply must be outpacing liberal Democrats by a huge margin making the polls unreliable.

"As more people make up their minds,..."

I don't see where you get people are "making up their minds". These polls are all over the place from day to day.

Well, just looking for trends, this one is going the opposite way of all of the others, so I’d be more inclined to see this poll as an outlier anyway.

Plus, we know that Ras has gone insane with his weighting. His state polls are out of whack with everyone else too.
