And pray tell when do you start your day? Lots of us are in our offices or in the air by 7am and lots earlier too! But Obama needs that first hour or more likely two to
maintain his perfectly emaciated, skinny as a boneyard body.
Not to any MEN work out to be THAT Emaciated and Skinny!!
But then...........Skinny and Emaciated is desirable probably for some........

As I recall, wasn’t Bush 41 reamed by the MSM for being shown playing golf in the aftermath of the Kuwait invasion and the start of the Gulf War —didn’t they try to make him look like he was “cavalier and didn’t care”??

Clinton went for a “jog.” Obama goes to the “gym.”

DC isn't a particularly early-rising town, outside of military people (I hate working with them-who the heck wants to do a meeting at 7 am?). I was in my office at 9 this morning, and I was one of the first people in. Nothing unusual for someone to hit the gym before coming to work.

What do you do that you have to be in the office so early?

Going to the gym is arrogance?

George Bush exercises regularly, probably every day, but we don’t see him doing it because he has equipment there at the White House. Is he being arrogant?

In case you don’t know, a person who exercises regularly suffers mentally and physically when they don’t get that exercise. So Obama, or anybody else, is actually doing the best thing possible by getting that exercise.

There are many, many things to criticize Obama about. Exercising isn’t one of them.

“I see this as a view into how Obama would manage a crisis.”

You’re kidding, right? A person who exercises regularly is in much better shape mentally and physically to handle a crisis. I can virtually guarantee you George Bush exercised or will exercise today, but we won’t see it because he can do it in thew White House.

There is nothing wrong with catching a quick workout.

I do it every other morning. Get's rid of stress and clears my head.

Get real. Obama is probabaly ideal weight. If more Americans would get their fat asses off the couch our health insurance premium would be way less.

Are you a fatty?? Fat people tend to critzise people who work out and who are concerned about their wieght/appearance.

Back when the Hot Botton scandal broke, one of the Republicans on the Armed Services Committee said that Barney came into a meeting late and apologized because he was in the gym. One of the others said to him; “Did anyone get Jim’s last name?”

But in the middle of the crisis?

Obama is running around talking about how this is such a huge threat to us. If that is what he thinks, then he should be working to solve it, not taking excersise breaks.

OR, he should tone down the hyperbole.

There is no problem with working out. But I don’t think Bush was working out in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.

Look, Obama had to be dragged to DC to deal with this. His initial reaction was “call me if you need me”. That is not showing leadership, nor is going in for a workout when he should proably be working the phones to solve America’s financial crisis.

Then he can go workout.

I really, really don't want him to be President. But there's nothing wrong with his appearance. He's just slim, which is something more Americans should aspire to. Though, in fairness, Obama does have the body type for staying slim- I can't imagine it's easy for him to put on weight.

Uhh, do you REALLY want Obama trying to solve this? I don’t. And in fact, he really has no power to do anything anyway.

I obviously can’t say exactly what Bush did the day of 9/11, but if he took a few minutes to exercise, I’d have no problem with that at all. Exercise makes you more mentally alert and less tired. In fact, it’s probably one of the best things he could have done.

Actually, I don’t want Obama anywhere near this mess.

But should he unfortunatley become president, I would like to know that he is going to take the job seriously.

It would be one thing if he had been working hard on the crisis and then broke off to go to the gym, but he had many opportunities in the middle of his doing nothing to go to the gym. He hasn’t been doing a thing during the whole crisis...that’s the point.

Working out is good. I work out daily if possible. But I wouldn’t stop in the middle of handling a crisis to workout.

Only Bush, the dems and paulson said this is a crisis. Market is up right now. Rush just said they are only using the word crisis to get $$$$

Obama says it is a crisis. If he thinks it is a crisis, why did he have to be dragged to DC to deal with it, and why doesn’t he deal with it instead of going to the damn gym.
