It’s more evidence of just how aloof and out-of-touch this guy is. His comments lately, his preferring politicking to actual legislative work, and things like this latest gym excursion, show remarkable arrogance. Or at least spectacular tone-deafness.

not that i particularly like to defend the obama, but he was working out before normal office hours. (i'm not saying that he, and many others on the hill, should not have been working early to solve this problem. this, to me, just seems like a non-story).

Obama Hits the Gym

I have no problem with that.

When the country is in a crisis, it's best for those with no knowledge on the economy or anything else to stay away and let the "big" guys and gals go at it. More can be done without Obama getting in the way making a nuisance out of himself.

And, he is right. When the need arises, the people that matter in congress and in the white house cal always call him to get his "present" vote.
