If BS were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself.

Palin’s recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and now Katie Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident candidate. Who Is Clearly Out Of Her League.

"I will say this much...the liberals and media have so lowered expectations for Palin, that basically all she has to do is show up for the debate on Thursday and be declared the winner. As long as she doesn’t make any major errors and doesn’t drool on herself while speaking, she should be declared the winner."

They can say what they want - but 60,000 people in FL waited in the hot sun to see Sarah.

Those liberals would be lucky to have 4 people show up in person to hear their slimy opinions!

Since their opinions are on paper - dog owners & bird owners can use their articles for 'paper training.'

I think some women HATE her....DESPISE her...b ecause of NOT ABORTING TRIG!!! There are a TON of women who have had abortions and Sarah brings up very bad memories of what they have done.......so they have to DESTROY her someway.

I think a lot of women can't stand her because she is unaltered by plastic surgery, and yet is knockout gorgeous.

sorry everyone.

Palin’s speech at the convention was 5 stars and she’s a great woman. But quite frankly she sounds incoherent and if she has knowledge, she’s not showing it. A few conservatives have been saying the same.

it’s not her fault, it’s McCain’s for putting her out there.
She’s a governor, etc, but never ran at this level. What did they want? Sure Biden’s a dodo, but he established himself w/years in the Senate

They asked her to save the campaign, when it didnt need saving. They could have won by just beating up on B.O.

Pls don’t bash me. I find this very depressing.

I think she should say she needs to go back to her family and all it’s crises, and let someone like Mitt get on the ticket

Exactly, until an earlier FR thread on her yesterday, neither I nor my husband had heard of her.

“I think she should say she needs to go back to her family”

You go back to your family, Sam. We’ll stick with Sarah Palin.

I detest Kathleen Parker. I always have. She makes Peggy Noonan look conservative.

I totally disagreee with your Post 103!!

Comparing her to Obama, who cannot put a sentence together without stuttering from trying to hear the cues on his ear piece - is completely lost without his teleprompter - she is so far above his pay grade, it's laughable!

She is our candidate for VP. Obama is their patsy for President.

Don't feel sorry!! I won't bash you & too bad that you are depressed!! Perhaps some beautiful music to soothe your soul?

I'm quite happy with our 'plain speaking' Sarah & I can't wait to vote for her!!!

Wow. Parker wants some attn from the Mean Girls. They'll love her like they did McCain before McCain got the nom.

Couric sat there all slitty-eyed with hate. Obama stammers. Biden is nothing short of a buffoon.

But Palin embarrasses Catty Kathy.

Noonan and Parker are both suffering from a new mental disorder called “Palin envy.” This disorder manifests itself in middle aged or older professional women (especially columnists, politicians, and pundits) that can’t deal with an intelligent and confident (and heaven forbid...attractive) female that upstages them, when they don’t think the upstager is as qualified as them for a particular job - in this case VP. Noonan and Parker really wanted the job themselves. Palin envy.

Parker wrote a column last year where she called Hillary “well qualified” to be president. Since then I’ve taken everything she’s written with a grain of salt. Anyone who would think a quasi-socialist like Hillary was fit to run anything but a rummage sale is not playing with a full deck.

My view is that there’s no way Palin could know all the ins and outs of Washington or foreign policy in the brief time she’s been a govenor. She was running a state not a federal agency. So she will be behind the curve for a period of time. But I saw a video of her debate when she ran for governor against an ex-gov of Alaska and another well-spoken fellow. She did very well in that debate. Give her time. Her instincts, conservative, are excellent.

At least Palin knows a Baretta is a handgun and not a shotgun.

Baretta also makes shotguns, about 20 pages worth in the 2006 Standard Catalog of Firearms.

One of the major problems for conservatives a/o Republicans is that too many of them with a keyboard or an invite to one of the cables ..
are pansies, wusses, fair weather friends easily swayed by the bully media.
They all run in the same social circles and want to live by the Sally Field credo-
“ You like me, you really like me !!”
You sicken me, you really sicken me.
And that includes Rove of late -too willing to be seen as being “ impartial “ and pounding McCain because, sniff, sniff-his ads were too mean.
I can’t stand weak men and unfortunately, there seem to be quite a few of them on our side .
Like the whining, hand wringing pundits who populate the American Spectator.
I see the spineless jellyfish mentality has seeped into the NRO.
I’ll take Sarah Palin any day over these pompous , wimpy gas bags and gas baggettes on the left and too often now, the right.

I didn't realize comedians made an issue of this. I'm out of the loop. I don't watch much TV anymore.

It's amazing John McCain has any friends left in Washington at all seeing the vile hatred you all are spewing on a conservative “maverick” that doesn't march lockstep with the party doctrine.

Baretta does make shotguns, a pump, semi-auto, over/under and, I believe, a sidexside.

Hmmm. This was in NRO? Perhaps they’ve taken to trying to appear “fair and balanced” by offering opposing views by liberal columnists? An author that swoons over the likes of Obama, who is obviously by his own past persistent associations & writings a radical, racist, Marxist idealogue, is certainly NO conservative. So, why are they publishing this woman in NRO?

The talking blowdrys of the media were waiting for any mis-step Palin might make - dissecting her every moment of exposure - her kids, her husband, her jobs, her life in AK, her outfits, her hair, her answers, her inexperience, blah blah blah.

Most disappointing but expected were the vicious females in the news ‘biz’. A loose expression if there ever was one.

Like waiting for the bullrun these creatures of criticism
could hardly stand her meteoric rise in favor and delight of the public - we who are bored out of our minds by the rhetorical politico stump speeches which never translate into reality once elected.

Palin has brought fresh air, independent thinking, an exciting way of sharing her ideas, and saddest of all, incited the natural ire of all the female ‘professionals’ who feel it is their mission to contribute negativity rather than constructive points.

The sisterhood isn’t supportive in competition - preferring to tear down and strip with their glued on nails and foul thoughts - giving us nothing but their lousy personal observations which we as a nation can do without.

Palin is far and above all the hackettes out there no matter what they are dressed up to appear for us in print or screen or radio....put lipstick on a whining hack - you’ll still have a whining hack.

Palin has embedded herself in the American landscape and no amount of slutty smearing can erace it from the new frontiers planted in the minds of women everywhere.

We can have it all!
