FWIW, Dick Morris says that the events of the last couple of days changes the dynamics of the "economic" debate. Obama is now in a position of having to defend a Wall Street bailout while McCain can say he wants to protect the taxpayer from the excesses of Wall Street.
IMO, McCain tosses a cherry on top is he can work in a Raines/Jordan slam as well.
