I wonder if we had a "Bush looking at his watch" moment tonight.
After McCain talked about the bracelet from the mother of a slain soldier, Obama mentioned that he had one, too.
Unfortunately, it would seem that he didn't have the name of the solder, Ryan David Jopek (sp?), quite on the tip of his tongue. He seems to have to read the name off the bracelet:

That was definitely a weak and embarrassing moment.
He was tense and ungenuine the whole debate.
I wonder if we had a “Bush looking at his watch” moment tonight.

Obama’s moment was actually a more revealing event. He can’t remember the name of a dead soldier represented by the bracelet on his arm that Obama himself chose to wear. Much worse event for Obama.
Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t see a bracelet. He kinda pointed to the cuff of one hand, but my impression is that he was reading from notes. McCain came across as one who cares about veterans. Didn’t he say that Obama never sat down with Petreus when he went to Iraq? I’d seen a photo of Obama and Petreus in a helo...maybe I’m all befuddled. Who does he plan to consult with before dropping a missile on Pakistan, someone under his desk? If you don’t study history, and all that...

Joe Scarborough; It was a tie... so Obama won.
The left is fawning over Obama on that saying “wasn’t it cool that Barack had a wrist band, too” completely ignoring the OBVIOUS fact Barack had NO CLUE WHOSE NAME WAS ON THE BRACELET!
Yes he did and I thought about Bush 41 when he did that.
There is something on his wrist.

As we go about our weekend, lets all use this phrase often.
I have already begun to post it on comment pages...and hope it becomes legendary. Urban folklore always begins at the grassroots!!
I have a bracelet too!!!
John is right!!!
No one in the media discussed this absurd moment. It is up to us to make sure people know. All of Obama’s inaccuracies and weaknesses in this debate have been swept under the rug. He was not even fit to be in this discussion with McCain, but to the ‘experts’ it was a draw. What universe am I living in these days?
This is a classic case of where Obama can lose in the post-debate, the talking heads drone about this point or that point, but it’s ordinary people that hear this stuff and only remember “I have a bracelet too!”
And his buddy Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, have rings given to them by the communist North Vietnamese. They're made from the remains of U.S. planes shot down over Vietnam.

Article: Obama's Foul Weather Friends
By Scott Swett and Roger Canfield
"As a gesture of solidarity, the Vietnamese who Dohrn met in Budapest presented her with a ring made from an American aircraft shot down over North Vietnam. Bill Ayers would receive a similar ring while meeting with Vietnamese communists in Toronto. He later recalled being so moved by the gesture that he 'left the room to cry.' He said, 'I realized...America was an evil... and that I was... living inside the belly of the beast...' "

I didn’t get to see or hear the whole debate, so I’m not sure this didn’t happen, but I kept hoping that when the Iraq issue came up McCain would bring up the fact that Obama tried to get things delayed there until after the election to benefit himself.
Wow. This alone should disqualify this idiot from even being in the Senate. We need a nice pic of him just a day or so ago WITHOUT this.
Barry is a poseur.
Fox and Friends sure did...Steve called it—cringe worthy. They have also reported on Dr. Kissinger’s statement several times.
That was a demonstration however of how well they had gamed McCain’s talking points and prepared for them.
