Obama swings more uncommitted voters than McCain following debate

Washington, Sept 27: If one goes by a poll conducted minutes after Friday night's debate between Republican candidate John McCain and his Democrat opponent Barack Obama last night, the former is seen garnering more uncommitted voters than the latter.

46 percent of voters surveyed said their opinion of Obama got better tonight, while 32 percent said their opinion of McCain got better, reported cbsnews.com.

The poll was conducted on over 500 voters, who haven't yet decided who they would vote for and also those who have chosen a candidate but may still change their minds.

39 percent of uncommitted voters who watched the debate tonight thought Barack Obama was the winner, while only 24 percent thought John McCain won, and the rest 37 percent didn't favour either of the two.

66 percent of them think Obama would make the right decisions about the economy, while 42 percent think support McCain for better decisions. 48 percent of these voters think Obama would make the right decisions about Iraq, while 56 percent think McCain would.

yes CBS’s poll of uncommitteds by phone, thats dubious enough, how can you prove they are uncommitted.

If I was a Obamabot, i’d say I was uncommitted and vote for the twerp.

CBS’s poll is deeply flawed due to the fact it says “uncommitted or those leaning a particular direction” that would make them not uncommitted dummies.

This poll, so far, is the only one that shows 0bama winning independent. We’ll see how others go.

How is it possible, at this late stage, that anyone is still undecided? I think they are clueless morons who probably don’t even vote.

See BS is THE most inaccurate and unreliable Polls of ALL polls.

They are simply trying to manipulate public opinion like they used to in the past. Their audience is so small, ignorant and Marxist that very few could even name who the Vice President is.

If I was Mcain on the question of federal spending, cutbacks and things we don’t need to pay for, I would have started with abolishing the IRS, doing away with the ATF, the DEA and several other enforcement agencies. Hell, the first two alone would save billions of dollars. I would have also countered Obama’s claim of affordable colege for everyone. Sorry, somebody has got to get their hands dirty now and then besides the immigrants that will do the jobs americans don’t want to do.

Bret Brier and Greta both had panel in front of them and wondered after Luntz came on, what debate they were watching.

Where did CBS poll these people? It was nearly 11EST when things settled and I don’t answer the phone that late unless it is family. If anyone looks at the online polls, they should remember how frequently people can vote, we all freep polls. Not much accuracy there.

All they did is call and ask if you had decided who you were voting for, then asked you to call back after the debate.

They called me, but I didn’t qualify because I said under no certain terms would I vote for Obama.

There was a focus group in Wilkes Barre, PA who overwhelming went McCain after the debate. PA has a lot of Reagan Democrats who Barry has not closed the sale with. They are looking for reasons NOT to vote McCain and McCain didn’t give them any.

People are looking for different things in these debates and some may not necessarily care who “won” or “lost” on the merits.

McCain may have lost on points, but he looked strong, vital assertive and courageous. For some people, that’s what they wanted to see.

The only people dumber than the uncommitted voters are those who actually know what we do about Obama and are STILL willing to vote for him!
