I wish I had your optimism.I live in the NY area and even otherwise rational people are all in for Obama. It boggles the mind.
Have great friends in Westchester and he has McCain signs and shirts and has a few irrate Dems, but he has gotten many, many quiet compliments!
As I have said for some time now, if things really get tight at the end, watch for the Clintons to act. There is no way they will permit Obama to win. That would mean, in effect, no shot at the White House for 8 more years. To think that the Clintons would accept that flies in the face of Clinton history. They are power mad, ruthless and willing to do whatever it takes to sink Obama. They are hoping that the natural gravity of his incompetence and inexperience will eventually take hold of the independents and Reagan Democrats, which I expect will be the case. But count on the fact that they have Obama nukes in their arsenal and are ready to push the button if things look close the last two weeks.
