This bill is also a bailout for the UK, Swiss and German investment banks, too. Why should the US taxpayer bail out UBS, Deutsche Bank, etc?

The MSM I think quoted Republican leaders. My guess the rank and file House Conference read the bill and the more they read it, the more they don't like it. There's a feeling that it would be better to have the Democrats own the problem. Its a bailout pig covered by free market lipstick. There's nothing about this that makes House Republicans happy.
